What non English speaking markets do you promote?

I have heard a lot of chat about S America particulary Brazil – What kinds of games to they favour out there? and how do you get the money in and out? Is this as difficult as they say?

Ok, Some INFO about Brazil,

Don’t worry about per capita $$$$, there are people who spent online, if i am right online business gets over a few billions every year, excluding travel.

Brazil has a huge population but since casinos are illegal most people don’t trust on offshore casinos, most people are into lottery but only the Gov can run such , not even online.

Bingo use to be accept ’till two years ago but, again the Gov did a crackdown on those places, making them illegal as well, a few online ventures closed or moved out. So, there’s a market for online bingo.

Another game getting interest is poker, due the LAPT, WPT and some ads featuring online tourneys from Panama or Uruguay. There’s a room here for promote some websites.

Before You ask, Yes, I’m promoting there. The value per player is small, hard to covert and Brazilians have a problem to cash out their earnings, since is illegal to play online and banks charge very high and they ask for all kinds of stuff to accept such deposit from offshore companies. The good thing is: You can rank very well on Google for gambling terms, since competition is low. Bad side: You rank on Brazil, You don’t rank on Portugal. Weird.

Well, this is MY experience promoting there, I think others could help to improve more about,

FRANCE – Good value per players, but i find hard to convert other than poker;
JAPAN – For me, zero value, no players, deposits, or much traffic;
UK – Hard to convert, good value per player (poker and slots);
SPAIN – Promoting but no players;
EASTERN EUROPE – I get some traffic for Backgammon but no much on deposits;
Latin America (spanish) – Not much data yet, traffic is ok.

1. Russian law not allowed this if you online casino owner, but if you advertising online casino – this is not forbiden. Gamble in online casino is legal. All big online casinos accept russian credit cards, accept webmoney (russian online paymen system), accept wire transfer, accept all… This is about online casino. Poker at this time 100% legal.
2. Russian law not allowed to online casinos that locate at Russian territory, but if online casino located in another country and have russian language version this is OK.

Brazil is huge and considered the fastest growing ecomony in the world, but money per capita is a quite small, although there are some very rich individuals who reside there, so targetting the portagese market does make sense. However if you plan to target one language go after the french as they are big gamblers, and will give a greater respect if you translate your website into french over any other language. The french people are proud of their language.

Hi Alex,

Some of the popular casino games are roulette, video slots, blackjack and poker.
A few years ago, It was difficult for Brazilian players to cash out on their winnings.
Players will need to wait for a very long time to cash a check from an
offshore account. Also, they were asked to pay some fees by the banks.
I believe that Brazil has their own online payments that are connected with their local banks.

I think anyone who wants to gamble, will gamble.. There are a lot of people who speak a lot of different languages around the world, so I think targetting a certain language, even if it’s illegal in that country, is not doing any harm… I’m sure there are lots of Russians around the world who love to gamble even if they are not necessarily located in Russia ” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

Re South Africans – the other main language spoken there is Afrikaans but to my knowledge, and a saffa will be able to correct me here, not everyone speaks Afrikaans, but most people speak English. I know there are hundreds of other languages also spoken there. I think Cobus once listed a few somewhere.

I think if you can pick up the good players from China you’ll be in for some big commissions, however I’ve noticed that a lot of fraud also comes from China and Vietnam.

I am Russian and work at Russian market (sorry for my bad English). Russian language -this is not only Russia – this is all former USSR Republics including 3 EU States (Baltic States) + State of Israel (10-15% speak Russian).
