I know there are many factors in determining how many quality players you get or how many depositing real money players you get.
What I am interested in is to find out which form of marketing has worked the best for you over the last two years.
Organic SEO accounting for about 55%, w/ direct traffic at 5%,
on another site it’s 80% organic, 20 referral.. apples and oranges! gotta leverage whatever will work with your particular sites / products I think.
SEO is the way I always go, but I do think there is merit in social media. You just have to make sure you’re doing it right. If all you are doing is pushing a link on people, they won’t respond. If however you help with something they care about, they will help you without hesitation.

@pokerseo what do you think is the reason for the difference in organic search for your 2 sites?
i am thinking about facebook but i am afraid they will not allow gambling activity? what do you think? they have their own poker, so i think they won”t like it.
Facebook is super tricky. It depends which juridiction you are in. In the U.S it is extremely hard to get away with for gaming. I believe the Facebook gaming regulations are very similar to PPC-same countries are ok with it, provided you follow some guidelines. If your going facebook, I would first analyze where your traffic is coming from and if that country has stringent laws on gaming ads. If you are in one of the jurisdictions that allows it, the conversion is strong and worth it-just do your homework first!
