Depending upon what Web 2.0 really means <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

Many of the ‘web 2.0’ features make your website not so attractive to the search engines. Most of the sites considered ‘web 2.0’ are popular due to other reasons way outside of seo.

Could be a big mistake converting…

Rob, I think you’re a little confused on what web 2.0 is, it’s not a new way to build a site. It’s just ways in which communities gather and share information.

I can’t think of a good way to create a good gambling web 2.0 site, except maybe a wiki site, but even then you would need alot of users posting and writing articles, I just don’t see that happening.

It’s just a generic term coined to describe the evolution of the web.

To me, Web 2.0 means that a site’s visitors provide the content. Like MySpace, Flickr, etc.

Is there more to it than that?

I guess maybe a better question may be, how have you used technologies and applications associated with web 2.0 to help promote your business or website?

It’s very convoluted because there are a lot of thoughts on all of this….

Web 2.0 can mean so many things… Like web collaboration, web communities (social networking), advanced web applications (like netvibes), etc…

It is really just the next gen websites… and is a constantly moving target at the moment.
