not meaning to be a dick.. BUT :
Interesting to see that http://www.shieldmarketing.com is actually using tables for layout, is bloated and using deprecated html elements. Ironic for a “search engine specialist” imo.
slotsgeek has abysmal on-site SEO too, and again contains a lot of bloat, a poor code to content ratio and copious other schoolboy SEO errors. Pr2 isn’t exactly an impressive metric too imo.
where did you find these guys?
I expect there to be arguments about SEO. It’s a good thing, you learn more that way.
Alex could have shown more social graces, but I appreciate the input and I hope Bradz and JohnH will too.
Looking forward to some lively discussions.

LOL, all I have to say is: http://pokerrakebackdeals.co.uk/
See, not everyone is perfect.
Welcome aboard John… good to see some PAP representation over here too ” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />
Here are requirements, lets get you started if thats ok:
1. Answer affiliate questions regarding SEO. .
2. Be courteous with posters. Rudeness is not acceptable.
3. Be proactive about developing participation in your forum area
4. Initiate new threads and conversations regarding SEO within your forum area. Updates on Google, Yahoo!, Link Exchange Optimization etc… are all popular topics.
5. Do not focus on promoting your own portals. An occasional post is fine, but it cannot be your primary communications with affiliates.
Can we count on you?
It’s wonderful to have somewhere that I enjoy hanging out and be able to gather some SEO help/tips as well.
Do you mind putting up your site first to be commented on. I have a few tips and suggestions for you that I would like to share and would be more than willing to do so.
Sometimes it’s better to make sure we have our own spaces down to a T before we start commenting on others.
Lol. If I see something I don’t agree with, I comment on it, often quite bluntly.
Let’s not drag the thread offtopic now… I was talking abotu their web-sites.. not mine.
New SEO guys and the help people on here can get from `em.. thats the topic…
(incidentally I would love to know how you have suggestions and comments on a site you haven’t seen..)
not meaning to be a dick..
yup you were.
I work as a SEO consulant, so I wasn’t talking rubbish – I can substantiate my claims anytime fwiw)..

Sorry about that John.
Nice warm welcome to our volunteer’s alex. lain: And yes it was dickish.
Where did I get them? They stepped up when we asked for help.
Can we count on you to join the team so we have your input to help members?
meh, the intention wasn’t to be dickish or to disrespect these guys for coming forward to help the community here (in fact I commend it).. Given what I was going to say it was going to sound that way to some people..
I expected (given the hype intro you gave) that if I glanced at the source of the sites mentioned I could get an instant feel for how good these guys are in the SEO department (there are so many self professed “seo pro’s” out there who are so bad, one has to oust the charatans ya know..)
I just found it strange that both of the sites mentioned were not optimal, that’s all.. (I work as a SEO consulant, so I wasn’t talking rubbish – I can substantiate my claims anytime fwiw)..
Regardless, welcome to both, and It’s definitely nice to see people sharing any SEO savvy in this competitive gambling area. It’s obviously easy just to chuckle at how bad the SEO is on the competitions sites, but it’s good to share some knowledge too imo.
As for your last Q prof, sure – bring it on.. I have managed some nice rankings in my time (e.g .page 1 on google for “gambling”, ah those were the days), and I know I can contribute a lot if I put half the effort in as I do when I go on a rant on the forums ” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />
As a possible starting point to get things going, how about a sticky in this forum where members can post a link to their sites and the “seo gurus” give them one piece of golden advice each? obviusly ther rest of the community can add their thoughts and build up a nice repertoire of methods and advice for the ultimate SEO strategy..
