I heard something about the next one being the 25th of Janurary, hope its true. :lookaroun
The next PR update should land in the next 2-3 weeks. That’s an estimate anyway. Some people are reporting their backlinks have updated (I haven’t seen it yet), which usually happens before a public PR update is pushed.

They show Jan. 19 for backlinks and Jan. 25 for PR
Bummer, still no links back update although MSN is shoting most of our new links. Hope for good things in the PR update.
Had a new site finally show some PR (not gambling related), but nothing else on any other sites.
All this fuss about PR worth almost nothing. It is true that many high-ranking Google sites actually have a PR of 2-3. I worry about getting traffic rather than the right to belong to the “web elite”.
For example, I used to have a site (not gambling-related) that had never had more than 50 inbound links, 1-page design (!!!) with affiliate content, and within 3 months it was awarded PR2. In 3 more months, still having a single page with 50 links, its PR was mysteriously boosted to 3! Traffic the site received was under 50 uniques/month. A year after that the site still has 1 page (the content has never been updated), same 50 links and the same PR3! And they say Google likes content and inbound links?! It definitely does, I can’t deny it, but blunders like the one I has just described show that PR and effectiveness of a site are not necessarily the same.

Agreed.
A good proof of the above are the free sites at tripod.
A lot of them with few links/content and PR3/4 and some with PR5.
Too many “canned marketing” out there.
PR is not allways related with traffic and rankings.
