There seems to be a stream of new brands in the igaming industry and I wanted to find out how you guys decide on who to promote and when.

I first do a search to see who owns the property and try to find out as much information as possible, but sometimes there is nothing out there so what steps do you take to make your decision?

It depends…

Proven softwares that contact me with a good promo get a nice intro.

Unproven softwares get tested and tested and tested and I watch the player boards for feedback a lot.

Pushy sales and strongarm tactics make me back wayyyyy off. Unfortunately this usually does happen with Playtech, as mentioned before. Too bad, the software is nice.

After an intro, new places do start at the bottom and can work their way up. Everytime I see movement, they move up a bit. In the end, everyone gets a fair shot and the best retaining places get top spots. Yes you heard right, I rate retention higher than conversion.

I wait to see a new site demonstrate good sense and finances.
If all seems good then I research through affiliate sites.
If all is still OK then I will playtest for 1-3 months.
If all is good then I contact to make a deal.
If a deal is struck then and only then will I promote them.

Perhaps this will help to explain to new AM’s that try the “cold call” approach why they don’t get much past explaining who they are before being told NO?
:roflmao:

can i change my answer to ‘ill go to paul’s site and see if he is working with them?”
lol

I prefer to wait awhile. Usually I investigate the new program, I read T&Cs, I investigate their website, their brands, try to find some information about them in the Internet.
