Casino Specific Conference?

Andy – bet365affiliates asked 4 years ago
The poker affiliates and operators are having the inaugural Poker Conference in Limassol, Cyprus this year, and it looks set to become and annual event. So my question to you guys is this:

Seeing as the Casino Affiliates Conferences are regularly attended by affiliates representing all major products, do you think it’s time for a dedicated casino conference, with a completely casino dedicated agenda, etc, and more importantly, would you attend?

There are multiple selections to be made, so choose those relevant to you:

Well, yes, It would be a good thing to have Poker, Casino, Bingo and Sportsbetting apart.

But not if it results in more and more travel, there is a natural limit to how much one can travel while still running a business.

I promote everything but sportsbetting, so I would be running all over the globe…

There really are enough already. Especially now, that they are all held far from the US, the constant travel gets to be a nuisance.

Once they come back to Vegas I’ll be happy to attend them all. As is 3 or 4 a year are as much as I can do. While it’s fun to be there, travelling there is time consuming and unpleasant. And most of all, it disrupts work for a couple of weeks each time.

Conferences are useful and poductive in their own right, but there is a limit to the time and money I am willing to spend on attending them.

I am thrilled to go to the poker conference.

As the poker affiliate manager for bet365 i feel it will be very productive to meet affiliates for which poker is a key product. I’m confident this is valid the other way around as well.

All speakers there are top notch on the particular subject, and we are all assured to find these particularly instructive.

After all, isn’t “targeting our audience” a fundamental aspect of our job?

Alex lets secure several motor coachs and english speaking guides to show us the city, the two cathedrals, the football stadium, down town shopping areas etc… and end up at a really nice rleaxed beach front club for drinks.

Alex that club you secured last year was off the wall!! Man that was the most relaxing coolest networking day I had in a long time! :hattip:

Barcelona was the most awesome conference of all time for me, I had to work at least 13 hrs a day for a month to catch up on all the deals I made and many can vouch that I never even registered for the conference..lol Not bragging about my party skills here guys I am just saying this is the one event you don’t want to miss out on business wise

To keep everyone happy I very much like the idea of having an extra “official” day without an expo, so people can meet, enjoy the cities and talk about business.

I noticed in Amsterdam that the second day of the expo seemed even slower than usual – there wasn’t much action happening at any of the booths as everyone seemed to be networking outside the exhibition hall. For this reason, I think a third conference day of networking activities outside of the hall would be a great idea – especially for those of us who spend the first two days at the booth

– sounds pretty sweet!

I met a number of affiliate managers who were more or less upset about the parallel “pub event” in Amsterdam, while the conference was happening.
I love pubs and beer, but in my opinion it was also not the best idea to have two things happening simultaneously.

Next time everybody should probably first focus on the conference and then drink beer together the third day.
