Big Seo Competition: Uk – Es – €6000 To Win

alexross asked 4 years ago
I just got this via email… might be of interest to some. I’ll be giving it a miss.

Amusingly there are ways to ensure you win at the last minute without any blackhatting..

Anyway it should be interesting, and SEO comps are a good way to learn the ins and outs of getting ranked quickly..

Presuambly one can blackhat some links for the winning subdomains to discredit them… It will be interesting. <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

Hmmm…isn’t this what CPays did that lead to all that SE spam and ultimately their removal from several prominent sites and forums?

I don’t think these type of contests help anyone in the long run. It just bring out the scumbag webmasters that clutter the engines with blackhat techniques.

Some SEO contests are quite cool Imo.. There was one last year with the theme “global warming awareness”, which can’t be bad (and which made it easier for participants to get links due to the “good cause”).

Interestingly you can expect to make A LOT more cash that 1st prize pays if you do this for one of your own projects rather than for a subdomain which will end up making your “enemies”/competitors richer in the long run.

Global warming – fine. I’ts a non-profit cause.

Commercial topics – not ok IMO.
