The Panda Update I think crippled a lot of people, especially those who were looking for low intensity, low cost linking building solutions. Like creating farms, web2.0 networks, and getting all that link juice to pass through to their website.
One of the users showed this on GPWA, and I always pass it onto people when it comes to link building.
Average load speed of pages directly affect serp’s. Faster sites will be stronger in ranking

load times yes can have an effect on the SERPs but its impact by itself is minimal … still something everyone should still focus on because its more important to conversion and usability
I do not 100% agree with the above chart, but it is a very good illustration of how Panda was really about links and not so much content
