June 1, 2010 (CAP PR Wire) — Microgaming (www.microgaming.com), the world’s largest provider of online gaming software and the power behind Prima Networks Limited, today announces that another operator has successfully submitted an application to join the recently formed French Poker Network. The new operator, which is a group of major land-based casinos in France, will benefit from a bespoke, fully managed solution from Spiral Solutions France, and industry leading software provided by Prima Networks Limited powered by Microgaming.
Following the recent legislative changes to the online gaming market in France, the country’s leading online poker platform was formed through the signing of a joint venture between Microgaming and 888 Holdings Ltd. This offers a unique opportunity for an operator with a consortium of French land-based casinos regulated in this market to venture into online gaming.
Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming, the power behind Prima Poker Network Limited, commented: “We have experienced great success with Spiral Solutions in markets all over the world and we are delighted to team up again to bring a leading eGaming solution to the French market. We are in a fantastic position to support any company looking to launch and operate a successful online poker room in France, with our market-leading poker platform and the value-added services provided by Spiral Solutions France.
