iMEGA Offering New Jersey Webinar Tomorrow

Tomorrow, iMEGA Chairman and gambling rights advocate Joe Brennan, Jr. is holding a special webinar. The topic: New Jersey’s new Internet gambling law, the Intra-State Internet Gambling Bill.
The bill was approved by the New Jersey congress last week, but awaits the governor’s signature. Most gambling advocacy groups have voiced strong support for the proposed online gambling law.
Brennan has noted that New Jersey would be a particularly good location for the creation of new online gambling regulations, given its existing regulatory framework and IT infrastructure.
Brennan’s webinar will be hosted live on the iGaming Business website tomorrow, Wednesday January 19, 2011 at 3pm GMT (that’s 10am in New York and 7am in California).
So, why should affiliates care? The new law could represent a strange new world of state-by-state online gaming markets in the United States, where the major online casino brands promoted by casino affiliates may not even be allowed. As it stands now, the New Jersey online gambling law would license local companies only.
