I logged on to Yahoo’s main page this morning and saw they are advertising their own poker game download. From their site:
“Take on the masters of the game in this high quality No Limit Texas Hold Em game based on the Poker Superstars Invitation Tournament TV Show. Helpful tips for beginners, challenging computer opponents for experts, and great fun for everyone! Can you go up against 8 poker champions and beat them at their own game?”

April 17, 2005 at 2:26 pm #664273AnonymousInactiveI saw the ad on the main website for the game, and it’s also in their game section.
Here is an URL:April 17, 2005 at 2:42 pm #664275AnonymousInactiveThank you. Have it.

April 17, 2005 at 7:00 pm #664280AnonymousInactiveSomeone correct me if I’m wrong, but Yahoo doesn’t accept gambling advertising does it. Seems rather hypocritical.
April 17, 2005 at 8:19 pm #664281AnonymousInactiveI don’t know where everybody gets the idea Yahoo doesn’t accept gambling sites. I’ve been doing searches for sometime on Yahoo and when I search for poker all kinds of gambling links come up.
April 17, 2005 at 11:23 pm #664292AnonymousInactiveYahoo.com has stopped gambling advertising – although some of the county sites still allow advertising (Yahoo UK for one…).
From what I have heard from them, they do intend entering the industry over the next few months – they have alreday agreed with a Betting Exchange, and are in talks regarding a poker room and casino. These will be marketed through the Uk site only.
