Hi all,
got a spam today from xxx.5starscasino.com[/url]
what really upsets me about this … is the email was from .. and to …. xxx.5starscasino.com
not an expert in the area of spam but anytime i get an email addressed to someone who is not me .. I get that “tingling in my tail” (quote from “over the hedge” – a kids movie that if you’ve got any kid in you … you’ll like)
anyway .. tail is tingling.
anybody got any feedback on this bunch?
thanks in advance for your replies.
ps
if you haven’t received your spam yet .. I would guess its just a matter of time considering how they went about contacting me.

April 12, 2007 at 2:12 pm #733756glemMemberOn behalf of 5 Stars Casino, I do apologize if any harm was done by sending this email, although it was not spammed, and merely sent to spark a possible business relationship.
We have kicked up our affiliate program to bring in more American traffic in the last week or so, and our goal is to gain connections with affiliates who have good resources in this market.
All emails sent were to reputable affiliates, and written in a personable way in order not to scare off potential affiliates.
My name is Jonathan, and our entire affiliates department and I look forward to knowing many of you on a more personal level, so as to alleviate any fears of spam/scams.
Feel free to contact me if you would like to speak in a straight forward manner.
(:April 12, 2007 at 2:29 pm #733760vladcizsolMemberJohnathan when you send emails to affiliates who have not opted in to receive them its SPAM.
This angers reputable affiliates.
Most programs do not allow SPAM (unsolicited email) to promote their casinos and take this matter very seriously. I suggest you re-evaluate your position on email marketing now if you are interested in operating in the US marketplace.

Umm I highly doubt your sincerity J when I get an email addressed to and from the same place.
Why if you are so up and up … was not the email sent to my email addy?
you’re definitely not starting out on the right foot by taking such an approach.

April 15, 2007 at 7:35 am #733959glemMemberI would like to thank you all for bringing this issue to our attention.
I wasn’t aware of this problem until after speaking with our affiliates department here, and informing them of your posts.I must apologize on behalf of the affiliates department, and wish to inform you that the issue has been dealt with accordingly here, and action has been taken to ensure that it will not repeat itself.
We are all quite seasoned in the online gaming industry, and are well aware of what constitutes spam. We are also aware that it is frowned upon in this industry.
Again we wish to put this issue behind us, and hope for a prosperous relationship between all of us.
Regards,
Jonathan
