A player forwarded the email quoted below to me.

Administration fees for inactive poker accounts? Whatever happened to giving free cash or bonus incentives to encourage inactive players to return?????

    Quote:
    Dear XXXXXXX,
Our records show that that you have not logged in to your account for 180 days.

A$$5 administration fee* has been charged to your inactive account. The next charge will be deducted from you account balance on: 13-Jul-2006.

However, this fee will NOT be charged if your account, or any related account, is reactivated on or before 12-Jul-2006.

Reactivating your account is easy: Just log in and place a cash wager, enter a tournament with a cash entry fee, or play a raked hand.

*TERMS & CONDITIONS If you do not access your Account by “logging on” to your Account using your Account name and password for any period of 180 days, then after those 180 days (the “180 day grace period”) your Account (and any related account with any ESP) will be deemed “Inactive”. If your Account becomes Inactive, then the Company is entitled to charge you an administrative fee (the “Inactive Account Fee”). The Inactive Account Fee shall be deducted from your Account Balance at the end of each calendar month in accordance with the Inactive Account Fee Schedule. We will stop deducting the Inactive Account Fee from your Account Balance if your Account is re-activated.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Our Customer Care team is available 24/7.

    Sincerely,

    Party Team

Charges for leaving money in your acount? THATS CRAZY! Anyone else remember when they paid interest on the money in your account!

I think PartyPoker is just too big. I am bothered that I lose my PartyPoints if I don’t play for 30 days.

These are things to consider when promoting a program. It is too easy just to go to another pokerroom—Ive heard theres a few others out their…

There are online casinos out there that do this too. This is nothing new.

Yeah, it’s stupid but they certainly were not the first with this idea.

I really like this idea, in fact i’m now thinking about charging visitors to my site a fee, kinda like paying a toll

Apparently Party Poker has not enough money over the years…i’m excited about this new turn of events, like i’m sure every poker player is…what a concept, if i give you money will you let me give you more money, what brilliant strategy

Just for the record, i am one of the very few people in the poker world who has never played one single hand of poker at Party Poker or sent them a single player, and i have played at over 50 online poker rooms at least

I knew it, i knew it, i knew it, they were a dog right from the start, and this is the biggest confirmation of that fact

Wouldn’t it be much smarter to give those players who are inactive $5 instead of taking $5, those players are as good as gone anyway, might as well try to get them going again

Some crypto casinos do the same.
