I have maintained that board votes for serious issues are useless and feel it is time to show why and how easily it is done.
This requires very little knowledge and access to a mysql database.
A picture tells a thousand words:

Actually it is pretty easy to change data base numbers as Dean says. But what happens is that the stats change at abnormal times. So if a person was to keeping a eye on the poll, and notice the change in numbers going up all of a sudden, it looks questionable.
Now Dean can you show how pm’s might be read. Is it stored in the data base? If so, is it encrypted?
October 17, 2003 at 5:58 pm #640275AnonymousInactiveAll PM’s are encrypted in the database in the latest versions of phpbb.
There was a hack I saw that enabled and admin to see all pm’s.
Will have a look and see if I can produce a sample of this hack.October 17, 2003 at 6:09 pm #640276AnonymousInactiveThanks Dean
October 18, 2003 at 5:55 am #640303AnonymousInactiveThe admin private message hack allows admins to view, archive or delete any message by any user. On a phpbb board the installation time is 3 minutes. This hack adds a couple of options to phpbb admin panel.
You should add a clause to your user registration area saying you are using this hack, as well as alert current
users you have installed it. Otherwise, this may be
illegal according to the current ToS the user signed up
for and your country of hosting.I have not installed it but the above makes it clear enough.

Cindy and/or Bill wanted to remove all the evidence they could regarding my PM’s about the moving of the thread and other pertinent topics in the past.
CINply inexcusable !!!!!
