Why is there not a sticky on the current laws and other situations in this area?
The intro and outcome of this recent attempt should at least be hear instead of having to dig through worthless posts.Just my thoughts on this.
October 23, 2009 at 4:17 am #805172fintanMemberSo much goes on every week with the laws in the U.S. and Europe, especially considering all the different states making efforts to legalize online gambling like California and Illinois, that a sticky describing the “current” situation would be almost impossible.
In the “News” section, though, you’ll find regular updates on what’s going down in the U.S., Europe, and abroad, such as updates on the Kentucky domain seizure situation, the ongoing UIGEA legal fight, the European “monopoly” cases, and lots more. Updates every weekday.
You’re right, though, that we could do a better job of getting this info into this section, as well. I’ll work on improving that, but in the meantime, the News section’s the best spot to find the latest legal news and updates. Thanks for reading!

Much of the legality issue is based on your locale, and more importantly, the interpretation of the above. To date, there have been no sanctions levied against players or affiliates in the U.S. You can bet that there are many prominent attorneys that will be happy to defend you, should you be incarcerated by your government. Don’t bet on that happening though.
