    Hi everyone,
I’m hoping to get some input from anyone who might be willing to give me there thoughts on this subject of who host’s there sites. I have been doing some searching and also communicating with the casino’s directly about there thoughts on this subject and I’m wondering what the recommendations are from those here at CAP. I spoke with one casino this AM & there recomendation was outside the U.S. would be best. I would welcome any specific recommendations that anyone would be willing to give.

    thanks,

    Ben

Dayanahost.com in Canada (severs are located in Canada)
and hostingboy.net in New Zealand (you have your choice of UK and US server (IP) locations). Dayanahost for the most part has been more stable. The UK servers from hostingboy have had issues but the guy who owns HB is very good about personal tech support and its very inexpensive. It’s like 2 bucks a year for the starter plan.

My webhosting is with a company in USA http://www.rochess.net . The prices and services are very good.I dont live in USA so he does not seem too concerned about my websites and any legal issues yet.

If you are currently standing on U.S. soil, where you host your sites is of little concern. You could host them in hell, but if your person is on U.S. soil, you’re under U.S. law for anything you are doing in the world.

I host my stuff on server in the USA. I’m not going to recommend any particular place, but look for one that’s in charge of their own data centers (and not just a glorified reseller) if you can.

    Hi Market,
Thanks for the reply. So you are in US and hosting in the US without troubles.

This is actually good news if this is the case. What about the biggie…Network soulutions? Any thoughts there? Or might they be to gov.

    Your thoughts are appriciated.

    Thanks,
    Ben

    Hi Ben,

I’m not sure what exactly you are doing, but I live in Vegas and we have no laws against running gambling info sites at this time. Now, that would be funny.

Now, if I lived in Washington state, that would be another matter.

But, server location isn’t really a go-around for anything. It’s the location of you that matters.

I live in Utah, generally one can’t get more conservative than that….

However as I’m begining to read it, providing info is one thing and actually gambling would be another… I have an intellectual property attorney who works alot with internet issues that I retain occasionally and I plan to visit her this week….I’m gonna hit her with all of these questions too. I’ll foot the bill and any questions ya’ll might want answered please do post and I’ll get her take on it & report back what I find out…. I’ll likely make the appointment for later in the week, so in the next few days if anyone thinks of anything they have been pondering the legalities of let me know and I’d be happy to ask her.
At this point I have several ideas I have been developing for affiliating so I’ll likely pay a visit to her at least 1 or 2 times a month for a while anyway. I figure this info is gonna help me tremendously and I’d be happy to share what I find, as all of you have been very gracious to share with me.

It may not be that valuable to you guys any more but it’s the only thing right now that I think I have to offer, as everyone here is light years ahead of me at the moment when it comes to web masteing in this area.

So If there’s any legal Q & A’s ya want let me know & we’ll get some answers.
(It may not even be about gaming, it might be about name use, site content protection, code you may write, or whatever.)

    Ben
