I m staying at the Hilton Olympia.
Be carefull with “cheap hotels” in London.
That might be a room where hardly a bed fits in and with a shower you even can’t turn around in.

Try and stay as near as possible to the conference as getting in with a hangover ain’t the best idea in the world! :flush:

I’m staying at the Holland Court again this year. I can’t bring myself to spend $300 per night at the Hilton; the Holland Court is “only” $100 per night (which is still way too much). :wavey:

    Hi Engineer!

Are you still into doing a city tour???

Let me know! I found a couple others that want to too!

A good one although I think it is expensive is the Duck Tour as it goes in the Thames.

Also – If you are going to use the tube, make sure you get an Oyster card and then charge it, because your travel will then be a lot cheaper if you are making single trips. You can also get some great tourist deals with it http://www.tfl.gov.uk/microsites/oysteroffers/

    You bet!

Simmo sent me this link a few days ago — http://www.theoriginaltour.com

How about Monday, January 28? If that doesn’t work, maybe Thursday, January 24 (before the conference)? I don’t have a preference, really — I’m easy. :satisfied

Thanks for the Oyster card link, Alex. I rode the Tube quite a bit last time — I’ll definitely get an Oyster card this time.

    I took this one last year…. http://www.bigbus.co.uk/uk/html/uk_our_tours.html

it was only 20 pounds, and has where you can get off and ride the boat down the river and get back on bus at end…..has 3 different routes you can choose from, I only got part of the blue one done.

As of right now I can do the 23rd, Thursday.

Just three weeks to go now which is nuts considering how much needs to be done – Looks like I won’t be seeing much daylight for a while!

Anyway – I am wading through the mountain of emails I have and one which is relevant is from IHC regarding hotel rooms – Basically Hilton Olympia is now fully booked for the 22nd and 23rd and Maragaret has an ever growing waiting list for this one.

In addition hotels are putting pressure on her for final numbers so the deals she has managed to get will go in the next week so make sure you book your rooms ASAP – Details are here http://www.capeuro.com/hotel-travel/
