Following Astronaut’s post regarding hotels at CAP Euro in London I thought I would start a new thread as per last year on where everyone is planning to stay whilst there
The official list is here
http://www.capeuro.com/hotel-travel/Last years thread of where people were staying is here

Hotels
The ICE show at Earls Court is about a 30 minute walk / 7 minute cab ride from CAP Euro at Olympia so a hotel anywhere in the Kensington/Earls Court area will do for both. If you’re just doing CAP, stay in Kensington IMO. I’ve stayed at the Royal Garden Hotel off Kensington High Street which I liked a lot, and Base2Stay which is a smaller, self-serve “concept” hotel nr. Earls Ct. I’d stay there again too. Very small rooms, but Hi-tech and the best shower I have ever come across – like wind rather than water! If you’re here for more than the 2 shows, stay central I would say. Its only 20 mins by tube to Olympia from the centre of London and you’re better placed for everything – parties included I would imagine. Perhaps stay near Tottenham Court Road / Oxford Street junction. http://www.laterooms.com

Last year we stayed at the Hilton Olympia and it was very nice, but we decided we wanted to be closer to all the pubs and restaurants so we went with Earls Court area.

November 23, 2007 at 9:00 pm #754837AnonymousInactiveI’m sleeping on the pavement outside Olympia. Basic accommodation, but quite close and will save £3 each way on taxi fares. Guaranteed a decent shower every night too. Clever eh :wink-wink
November 23, 2007 at 9:59 pm #754841AnonymousInactiveStaying at the Ashburn thanks Lou.

Holland Court…or whatever…. was to small indeed…November 24, 2007 at 9:07 am #754855AnonymousInactiveHilton Olympia :hattip:
November 25, 2007 at 3:14 am #754910AnonymousInactiveI’m staying at the Holland Court again this year. I can’t bring myself to spend $300 per night at the Hilton; the Holland Court is “only” $100 per night (which is still way too much). :wavey:
November 25, 2007 at 11:13 am #754920Gyrnikol007MemberLast year I stayed at the Kensington Close Hotel.
It was reasonably priced, rooms were nice and the bar was awesome!
Cab fare to the Hilton Olympia was about 6-10 pound depending on the mood of your cabbie.
I’d stay there again no question!
Cheers!

All the allocations at the other hotels that we have apparently could also go up after Christmas as they get reset around the 20th Dec so if you are looking at one of the others I would book that now before prices go up or rooms aren’t availiable.
Of course London has shed loads of hotels so it may well be worth surfing the web for your own deals closer to town – Let us know if you find a good one.
December 10, 2007 at 6:20 am #756077AnonymousInactiveIf there are rooms i may stay at the olympia hilton, but have booked at k west, which is near shepard’s bush station, about maybe a few minutes closer to olympia than is Earls court.
