Just logged on this evening to catch a thread about mika before it was sent to the attic … what exactly did I miss?
I believe it was bb1 that brought up a related topic recently … that discussion seemed to indicate that most thought items should be discussed in a public format – granted I don’t know exactly what was archived, but after reviewing the latest thread which was also quickly archived it seems things were not thoroughly discussed openly … rather one person decided to take action based on their own beliefs.
With all due respect that sounds a lot like a place I once knew.
We should all be willing to openly and professionally discuss items regardless of personal beliefs – it’s the only way anything positive can come about. Furthermore we should be both welcomed and feel welcome doing so.
Arkyt I do not allow people to promote Future Bet Casinos here at CAP. I told Mika this several times in the past and yet he continues to want to shill for his Future Bet private labels.
There are two software platforms we will NOT publicize or promote they are 1CNP and Future Bet. They are Rogues. They have had a long history of ripping off players and webmasters.
Thats the issue at hand here not freedom of speach.As a matter of fact right in that thread a webmaster posted to indicate they were now interested in promoting Mikas program!!!! So the posts at CAP were doing exactly what I didnt want to happen, causing sign ups for a Rogue program!!!:angry:
You have access to the Attic. The thread in question is in there. I told him we do NOT recommend Future Bet here at CAP and I will not have our community used to generate leads or new victims.
Rather then let it go he continued to argue the point. I then moved the thread to the attic and he had another chance to stand back and let the situation calm down. NO, he decides to start a new thread about it. I deleted that thread and hoped he would get the point and let sleeping giants lie. So the NEXT step he takes is to start a farewell thread to try and make me look like a monster. Thats BULLSHIT. Up until then I was satisifed to let things go on as normal and just forget the Future Bet disagreemant. NOW I dont care if the door hits him in the ass on the way out.
We will NOT promote Rogues here arkyt. That’s all that went on tonight.
I totally agree 100% that we should NOT promote rogues … however with that said I would think it would be beneficial to all parties especially newbies to see that we as a group are opposed to the program(s) in question and state why we are in public. Then let them make their own educated decisions.
Along the same lines – I would like to see that the “certified” programs that are featured here are held to a certain “posted” criterion as that label sounds both official and moreover signifies a definite seal of approval. I believe that if the posted standards were significant the mere posting of them would lend much more credibility.
Additionally, rogue programs could also be banned from the community and listed as such. Members and lurkers alike could easily access listings of both acceptable and unacceptable programs with regards to integrity etc and make their own decisions. Eg we recommend that you do not work with a,b,c, blah, blah, blah do so at your own risk blah blah.
Then let people make their own educated decisions after presenting yours, mine, ours, theirs, any ones opinions. I strongly believe that open non-biased debate is essential to the survival of any “community.”
I think perhaps Mika was a bit naive – he is being conned into believing that Futurebet is turning over a new leaf.
I certainly agree with Prof on not wanting to promote Futurebet and 1CNP. I only saw half the thread before it was archived (btw, Prof, I still don’t have access to the Attic) and up to that point Mika was just saying something about being able to prove everyone wrong… LOL…
I also agree with Arkyt about “the place that we all once knew” – but to be honest that place was much worse. I think Prof has done a pretty reasonable job of keeping the boards clean of BS.
All that being said, I’d give Mika a chance to apologize, he’s mostly been good up until now.
yes I agree – I had never known him to go off the edge … thats why I was taken back when I caught half of the thread.
I dont have access to the attic either.
I also agree that to date, this has been better than that other place, however it still has plenty of room to improve. I believe keeping things secret and not out in the open is a recipe for destruction.
He’s welcome to come back in a week after he’s settled down if he agrees to NOT promote the Future Bet casinos on the message boards here.
I double checked your attic access and both of you should be able to view the threads there now.
