On studying my backlinks I found many pages from win-casinos.com linking to me.
On clicking on the link – eg :xxxhttp://www.win-casinos.com/online-casino-poker.html
It redirects to casino tropez.
However on looking at the source using a page sniffer on xxxhttp://www.win-casinos.com/online-casino-poker.html it shows the following html:
Listing of: xxxhttp://www.win-casinos.com/online-casino-poker.html
online casino poker
This affiliate tag identifies the affiliate, that is doing this: http://banner.casinotropez.com/cgi-bin/redir.cgi?id=N&member=casindex2&profile=main
Furthermore here are the whois details:
registrant-firstname: Frans
registrant-lastname: Jonker
registrant-organization: Lockport Limited
registrant-street1: Sidney Street
registrant-pcode: CT19 6HQ
registrant-city: Folkestone
registrant-ccode: GB
registrant-phone: +44.2070601503
registrant-email:I want these pages with any reference to my site taken down now. I will also be interested to hear what Bodog and Poker.com have to say about this.
Please respond today with positive action or I will have to take this further.
Thanks
May 4, 2006 at 10:21 am #691047AnonymousInactiveI have spoken to someone at Traffic Sales the media buyer for this casino and have asked them to give Laurent a nudge.
Furthermore that domain is going to get an invalid whois report filed against it, as the details are incorrect. The area code for Folkstone is not 020, which is London’s.

It looks like Frans Jonker needs to be wrapped in a blanket and soundly beaten about the head and face.
May 4, 2006 at 11:18 am #691050AnonymousInactivehi – I went through your email but couldn’t see where exactly you see references to your site. Did he copied your content? Did he have a link to your site and now this link isn’t pointing to your site anymore?
Give me more precise indications and i’ll take action.
Thanks
LaurentMay 4, 2006 at 12:57 pm #691060AnonymousInactiveLaurent,
This site is linking to my site. Check the code above, this is the actual html format he is using.
Or more specifically:
Best Online Casino Reviews – Reviews of Reputable Online Casinos …
The code in my first post includes the exact html and thus the hyperlink.
Furthermore he is scraping off several websites. Please shut this affiliates account down, ie not just this one website he operates.
He is stealing content. I am also sure the likes of Bodog do not appreciate their content being stolen by rogue affiliates of yours to promote your casinos.
May 5, 2006 at 1:03 pm #691249AnonymousInactiveLaurent any progress on this?
May 5, 2006 at 1:12 pm #691250AnonymousInactiveFrom what I have seen there are thousands of such pages. We are beginning to see more of them because scraping has become a priority for us.
But I will be holding off until Miami. I need a little rest, greek39

This affiliate’s account manager is handling it tough and i hope that by the end of the week, things will be back to normal.

LaurentLaurent,
Thanks. It might be worth suspending his account until the time he does. After all he can throw the stolen content up quick enough, which then redirects to your casinos. So why does he get a lot of time to take it all down?
What I am asking is not unreasonable. In fact it is the only proper and fair way to handle this. Seeing as your affiliate is the one in the wrong.
May 8, 2006 at 11:53 am #691542AnonymousInactiveSorry – But I call Bullshit. It does NOT take a bit of time to pull information off of a website. I can pull information off of my website quite easily, both my dynamic and static websites.
What would take a week???? And why not just shut the guy down for stealing. This crap is intolerable.

LaurentMay 8, 2006 at 12:00 pm #691543AnonymousInactiveListen – we’re kind of used to deal with this type of problems. I guess some people on the forum can come forward and actually say that we’ve helped solve quite some issues of the same kind.
Now tell me, what do you think is going to happend if we cut that affiliate now? Well, the guy will keep your/and other’s content on his site, will keep doing the same shit and just redirect to other brands that care less about those type of issues. What will you gain? Nothing. What will we gain? Nothing.
Bottom line it’s a loose loose situation! We don’t like to deal with such issues, however we prefer to handle them properly in a way that will actually serve everyone’s interests rather than act abruptly which would end-up not solving anything.

Bottom line it’s a loose loose situation!Quite simple Laurent. You can easily Suspend him from CPartners other reputable programs would, then he wouldnt feed off others hard work. I suggest you read the 888 Thread, of how we as a community feel about this subject. I have had enough being subjected to copyright theft by these people.
Please do the right thing!
May 9, 2006 at 8:11 am #691633AnonymousInactiveAs we saw in the past with spammers, content theft and others, it was useless to suspend their account as they simply change sponsors and keep on doing their dirty job, which obviously doesn’t help you. right?
Your concerns are my concerns and I’m really trying to do the right thing. if my approach doesn’t produce results within the next few days, I will adopt yours.Laurent
May 9, 2006 at 11:22 am #691644AnonymousInactiveIf he changes sponsors, then we contact THAT sponsor. If those that refuse to cut him off are boycotted, eventually he will have no more sponsors. CLOSE THEIR ACCOUNT NOW.

If he starts promoting elsewhere, I will also put pressure on that program to drop him also, if he uses stolen content.
This stalling is pathetic Laurent. You need to take decisive action against this thief and do so now. Regardless of the course of action I am about to take against this individual.
