We had promoted this program quite heavily when it was PDC Affiliates. As some of you will remember, this was one of our top rated Poker affiliate programs for many years. Our earnings were quite consistent, until one day when I signed in to find a 90% drop from the previous month. This is uncommon for a revenue share program. I also noticed the statistics were displaying differently, so I figured there was some sort of a manual action taken against the account.

I had to contact support 2-3 times before getting a reply, which was not normal for me there, and when I did receive a reply they told me the stats were correct. I continued to pressure and eventually began to speak with a new account manager named “Travis”. If this is his real name it might be the only bit of truth that came out of the mouth of this scumbag. After a few chats, where I continued to ask about our mysterious drop in revenue, he offered to help me get my earnings back by “tagging” some unclaimed players if I returned him 80% of my affiliate revenue under the table!!

Sure enough, he immediately started “tagging” random players for us. After about a month he asked for his share so he could have some spending money for a vacation — apparently doing quite well for himself by ripping affiliates off! I told him we were keeping the money and would report him if our earnings were not back to where they should be.

A few months later nothing had changed, so I reported the incident to Atil Singh of Carbon/Chipsplit, who was supposed to be our account manager in the first place. He claimed to not be involved on the affiliate side, and suggested I contact them instead. I then tried to explain the situation to Carbon support, and they apologized, but suggested I try to work it out with the affiliate program.

Soon after, I was browsing a list for some affiliate awards and noticed Atil was nominated as an affiliate manager!! I called him out on it, asking why he was on this list when he had told me he was not involved in the affiliate side, and CCd it to Merge/Carbon. I had been suspicious of him before that, since he was our account manager for years and then disappeared right after the problems began. Two days later I received an email by “Chipsplit Security” which stated that our affiliate account had been locked and we would receive no further commissions! At the time the account was owed about $500 and had over 150 active referrals. It’s difficult to say how much is legitimately owed though.

In close to 10 years as an affiliate I have never seen anything like this! Our advice to honest affiliates and web developers is to stay away from Atil and Carbon Poker/Chipsplit.
