    Having just had an email claiming that within a couple of years half the UK population will be using Mobile Internet, it got me thinking about .mobi domain names.

    Will they be used a lot in the mobile revolution or will still be using the traditional .com addresses? Do you see a future for .mobi sites?

    I like em and I tell you why.

    Lash open google on your mobile phone, you will have a “mobile” option as part of the search results. All .mobi’s appear here.

    .mobi=future :)

    I could be wrong about this but I was reading on namepros the other day that .mobi is dead and its not a good extension because its not needed, so I wouldnt invest much in any .mobi’s right now.

    in 2 years time no-one will want a “dumbed down” version of the site even on their mobile.

    Mobi = failed idea.

    I would agree with TheGooner … checkout me.com from Apple to see

    where this is going … the Google Android will very likely be the same. :)
