Yep, I’m just as disgusted with this situation as everyone else. AND my disgust turns to anger!!
So, I write emails to anyone and everyone I can think of complaining about the Gestapo techniques being used against private US citizens. Citizens who should be able to spend their money as they chose without the “government” launching a “jihad” against them.
I thought “holy wars” were against the Constitution. I do not want zealots having the power to search and destroy at will, in the name of “saving me from myself”. That’s not the government’s job.
This crap about a war against terrorism is a smokescreen. If they want to fight a war against terrorism, they’d be hunting down Bin Laden, rather than US citizens.
So, no I don’t know whether any of my emails have any effect, but one never knows where a word will make a difference. One thing is for sure, if I don’t say anything, I’m just as much a part of the problem as the goon squad.
So, I’m off to send more emails to newspapers, tv stations, cnn, msnbc, politicians and anyone else I can find.
How about you?

We encourage everyone to do something, write a letter, tell you friends, join The APCW for free, join the PPA, it doesn’t matter just as long as you do something.
Feel free to use our resource page with contact info for congress and the media.

http://www.apcw.orgFebruary 10, 2007 at 12:20 pm #726756nick777MemberI sent emails as well to my Senators/Representatives last fall.
Do you know what amazed me? At the time, they were all so clueless that the gambling bill was attached to the Port Security Act (good lord).
Hopefully, this “new” congress is a tad more on the ball. :withstupi
February 10, 2007 at 8:10 pm #726784AnonymousInactiveYes, it was attached and most senators didn’t even know it was there when they voted on it (so they say). The bills are not re-read, just voted on. Some way to run a country.
