I’ve noticed that some of my articles have been stolen by this a$$hole and posted on his website (I recommend all of you to check freespin.pl because the site have 100’s of stolen articles in all the languages).

Now, someone can tell me please how can I stop this thing? How I report this website to google? There is no contact email so I cannot get in touch with the owner of the website.

The only thing that I can do is report this guy to the affiliates that he promote but I do not work with none of them. If someone this programs and can give me a hand please PM me.

    Any suggestion is welcome.

    Thanks

I disable the right button highlight copy/paste on my site to at least make it hard for them or to deter them.

Try an google something like. “Stop webmasters from steeling my content”.

I think there are programs you can purchase that will help make it difficult for thieves that do that.

jopaa! That is just awful… I’m so sorry that this is happening. Thank you so much for sharing this with our community. I’m sure you’re not the only person who is experiencing something like this.

Looking forward to what more advice CAP Members can offer. On the other hand, I will reach out and see if there are any solutions as well. More to follow soon…

    Hi jopaa,

You can check out these links from Google about how they handle duplicate content:

    I hope this helps!

This has happened to me 1000 times. 1st check to see if they are above you in rank. 2nd if they are not then, I know it’s difficult, don’t worry about it – they will fade away – is they are well then see if you can contact them (which probably won’t do much – I see you’ve tried that – maybe try whois) then see if you can contact the host (which again won’t do much) then do the google thing as stated above.

But if they aren’t above you in search then it’s not really doing anything

Thanks all of you for the suggestions.

I found this website because for some keywords search he is just under me on the first page of google and then, after an accurate check I saw that a lot of my articles is on this website.

I’ve tried to get in touch with the webmaster but there is no contact form or email. He use hosting from Poland and there is no english or any other language so I don’t know if they will answer me.

I will keep you updated on this matter.

    @Michaela15
: I’m not worried about duplicate content penalty, I’m just pissed off that he can reach the first page of google only by copying a lot of articles from other websites (including mine) and stealing me not only the content but even some potential player.

    Shotgunpete has the best answer.

But if you simply cannot live with it, I followed a wiki link to How to Deal with Online Copyright Infringement, DMCA filing with details

If you ever feel a need to scream, going after a bum like that can be cathartic

jopaa… I think Michaela shared these articles because somewhere in there it shares info specific to your issue regarding this crook stealing your content… Sorry I can’t dig into those articles further now… but have a look and see…

This guy copies content from everyone!

As we also discussed here: http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/45942-article-thief.html

I don’t know if EGO did anything about it? I have contacted some affiliate programs in the past, and some of them have told me that they have had serious talks with this affiliate – some have even closed his account with them. I don’t know if this is true, but I think you need to get in touch with the affiliate manager of the relevant programs.

I actually contacted him in English once and got an answer:

    Cz***322;owieku,co Ty piszesz ???
    Promocja ze strony g***322;ownej

I think it means that because it was mentioned in Danish on a casino’s site and I wrote an article about it in English he was entitled to steal an article word by word, because of the published articles in Danish.

I suggest using ▷▷ Who-hosts.com : Easily find out who hosts a web site and Web Hosting Search Tool | WhoIsHostingThis.com to find out who their service providers are. Most providers with have a “abuse@” email for DMCA requests.

Then feel free to use this form to email them:
    ________________________________________

    To Whom It May Concern,

This letter is a Notice of Infringement as authorized in § 512(c) of the U.S. Copyright Law under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). I wish to report an instance of Copyright Infringement. The infringing material appears on the Service for which you are the designated agent.

    1. The copyrighted material, which I contend belongs to me and appears illegally on the Service, is the following: ‘Title of work/material that is copyrighted.’

    2. The unauthorized material appears at the website address:’main URL of website copying the material.’

The direct link can be found at:’direct link to stolen material’

    4. This site appears in Google search results for “[Title of your work/search terms]” as well as other search terms. Please immediately remove or disable all access to the Infringing Material.

    5. I have a good faith belief that use of the copyrighted materials as described above is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

    6. I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Should you require any further information regarding this matter, please contact me at the address, telephone number or email address indicated below:

I have had great success with taking down websites that do not comply by emailing the hosts multiple times. I suggest teaming up and bombing the inbox for the website hosts with these emails. It works.

Feel free to ask any questions and good luck.

I’d love to know the best way to stop people from stealing content in the first place. Reporting someone to Google after they steal your content is not very efficient. The disabling of the right mouse button is a great idea. It’s much harder to steal content when you can’t highlight or copy it from the browser :) But what about scraper sites? Is there any way to keep your content safe from them?

He use a hosting company from Poland and all their website is in polish (no english or other language). Do you think I must send them the abuse email as well?

    Thanks
