Hi all,
As I’m sure any affiliate affected by this would already be aware, the integrity group had recently put into a place a rule deemed the ‘Whale Rule’. This was essentially a mechanism put in place to give the casino a way to recoup affiliate commissions if the commission fell within certain criteria. Basically, they could apply the negative carryover from the previous month to offset those earnings.
This week, while going through the process of putting your payments together from the old systems, we calculated this formula to see what it would do.
Here is an example of what it would mean for some of you (for May 2005):
Example 1: affiliate earned $4.2k … whale rule would allow a recoup of $1.5k, leaving the affiliate with: $2.7k.
Example 2: affiliate earned $6.1k … whale rule would allow a recoup of $6.1k, leaving the affiliate with next to nothing!
Anyway, I think we can all agree that this simply won’t do! To that end, CasinoRewards is officially harpooning this rule and I’m happy to announce that it is no more! So that rule will not affect any affiliates earnings again … INCLUDING May’s payment!

And you are dang funny too! :laughcry: :laughcry:
June 9, 2005 at 2:54 pm #666892AnonymousInactiveThats appalling what Integrity was upto and mostly if not totally unknown to the masses.
and this also backs up claims they were in serious financial trouble and not simply “tired” of it all.
Well done Ryan for your honesty
June 10, 2005 at 4:47 am #666953AnonymousInactiveIsn’t this what we are all in business for? The chance to catch a few whales. Can you provide the details of this rule? Not quite getting the math.
June 10, 2005 at 5:54 am #666957AnonymousInactiveHi there,
No, I won’t be posting the exact details of the math. One reason being we have already decided not to use it this month or any month moving forward.
From the previous example you wouldn’t be able to reverse engineer the equation. You would need specific data on a given affiliate and the previous months negative carry over figures.
But that aside … I’m unsure about what you mean by:
“Isn’t this what we are all in business for? The chance to catch a few whales.”
Yes, we’re not debating that point. My point is that affiliates should get full credit for the whales and any players they refer to us.
June 11, 2005 at 5:40 am #667014AnonymousInactiveThanks for the reply. I’m guessing I didn’t get the point of your email right away. Thought you were saying there was a rule for us to worry about. Yes, we all want to share in the whales.
