Online gambling, online pharmacuticals, net nutrality… and even the deployment of more troops… all goes back to one place: Washington, DC

How in God’s name do you get that?????????
January 21, 2007 at 4:15 am #723715AnonymousInactiveyep for sure.
B
ut you’ve got to admit the whole FED policy to online gambling, online payments, is out-of-whack with deep vested (and corrupt) interests …
In the 100th hour of the new house, one of the items was making Senators accountable for sneaking in pet projects last minute on bills.
Hopefully a step further Gooner.
January 21, 2007 at 4:18 am #723716AnonymousInactiveyou’re yelling.
How in God’s name do you get that?????????
January 21, 2007 at 4:36 am #723717AnonymousInactiveStatements about the disappointment a person feels in the way their country is operating or conducting business is not unpatriotic. My father was a POW in a German Stalag Camp and my husband is a disabled vet. That does not make me any more or any less patriotic that the next person. It’s my actions that define that. Over the years, my children have done things or made decisions I felt were very wrong. That does not mean I love them any less. The same is true for my country.
There is no one more patriotic than I am but I’m not going to turn a blind eye to the problems that we are facing in this country and J. Todd is right. This is not just about online gambling. It is so much more.
January 21, 2007 at 4:43 am #723718AnonymousInactiveWell said. I was not trying to pick a fight, just defending my Country.
Peace Out

I am really holding back my frustrations with this thread out of respect for your son. And I understand your emotional attachment to this situation. But do not for one second assume you have a monopoly on patriotism.
This great nation of ours is being ruined by politicians who take bribe after bribe and call it “special interest”…
Politicians who sends our sons and daughters into wars on half-truths for their financial benefit…
Politicians who slowly take freedom after freedom from us and say it’s for our own good…
If fighting against this makes me un-patriotic then fine. Because this nation was founded by people who had enough and didn’t take the oppression anymore.
If Thomas Jefferson were alive today he would go to Washington and punch some people right in their crooked mouths.
January 21, 2007 at 4:57 am #723722AnonymousInactiveIt’s all cool guys settle down some everyone, this is not helping anything we need to be finding ways to team up together and fight together, fighting each other will not help.
We all respect each other and the beliefs we all have, now shall we talk about how to fight this crap?
January 21, 2007 at 4:59 am #723723AnonymousInactiveBut do not for one second assume you have a monopoly on patriotism.
JTodd, you have lost me. Yes my son served in Iraq. What does that have to do with our current debate? Please relax, we are on the same side. Did you see the news? Our new speaker is against sending te 21,000 troops. Things are looking up! Senators are being held accountable.
PaulaJanuary 21, 2007 at 5:00 am #723724AnonymousInactiveYea you’re right, except that we’ll never be able to win this if there are Americans who think fighting this is, well, un-American.
If what APCW is working on comes together, Mojo, you are going to be shocked.
January 21, 2007 at 5:02 am #723725AnonymousInactivePeople do that when they’ve been insulted.
.
Did I do that? My sincere apologies. How did I do that?
January 21, 2007 at 5:08 am #723726AnonymousInactivethroughout history there have been many great nations / empires / super powers and they always ended the same way…… They didnt get beaten, they imploaded(contributed by corrupt governments).
I fear the current/recent government(s) may be the start of it for the US, because unless things change in washington, there could be big trouble ahead for the future of the US and the rest of the world.
Im only 26 and i just really dont know and “fear” what the world will be like in 10, 20 or 30 years etc
Just an opinion

January 21, 2007 at 5:14 am #723728AnonymousInactivedarko, for your young age you have great insight on the current situation. My hopes are for a new administration that will correct alot of wrongs. We already have a new start and a new hope.
