I have two similar sites in two different languages. The first one is http://www.casinospesialisten.net and aimed towards Norway. The other one is called http://www.casinospecialisten.com and is aimed towards Sweden.
Would it be possible to merge the sites somehow, maybe under a new domain name together with language specific sub domains, or would that be risky? Advise is greatly appreciated.

It might work in some cases, but most of the time it’s always a bad idea to mix sports with casino, poker with bingo, Italian with French or whatever. You have two languages, so the key words will also be different I suppose, which will make your SEO mission harder. It might confuse some users too. Just my humble opinion.

In new one you can target English as main language and rest you can add flags of the country in the home page which can further redirect your site in different language as www. abcd . com/frSeptember 16, 2014 at 11:09 am #836448gclubMemberOf course, you can merge your two sites into one.
Please do not forget to add language meta tag describing the proper language, e.g.
with appopriate language.
Meta tags are not important as before. However, language meta tag helps search engines recognize quickly the language you use on the particular page.September 16, 2014 at 5:00 pm #836452KWnzRUdapzMemberYou have gotten some excellent advice. I would not merge those domains. Best to keep them seperate.
