Posted this on the vipprofits forum but since it has been zapped….
…..Word on the street is that VIP.com, one of the first online sportsbooks and casinos is looking to either partner up with or be purchased outright by a big dog in the industry….I can’t say who though. On the rumor scale, Jenny gives this three out of four orgasms.
I’m curious who the “BIG DOG” is…
March 27, 2007 at 10:01 pm #732156AnonymousInactivehmmm Big Dog sounds surprisingly similar to Bodog:wink-wink
March 27, 2007 at 10:14 pm #732162vladcizsolMemberJenny also said RTG was up for sale too….
March 27, 2007 at 10:25 pm #732168AnonymousInactiveIf they were planning on selling… why not sell before they ruin and cut 99% of the company’s value?
March 28, 2007 at 2:24 am #732206AnonymousInactiveThere is not much to sell if they’re without North American players now.
They’ve got little penetration into other markets.March 28, 2007 at 4:04 am #732218Revenue NewsMemberVIP has retained their American players that are already registered. They have eliminated all of their Canadian players. This move was questioned by many as being odd, but with this ‘rumor’ going around it’s clear that they are attempting to make themselves attractive to ‘Bodog’. (Bodog’s owner is Canadian and their site does not allow Canadian players.)
March 28, 2007 at 5:38 am #732228AnonymousInactiveHow comfortable would you be betting with a place that now specifically excludes your countrymen from joining up though ?
I’d be looking for the exit door as a player …
:huh2:March 28, 2007 at 5:48 pm #732306AnonymousInactiveWhere is the VIP fourm?
Is it gone with the wind?

I think if they are already in they don’t care too much, atleast that is my opinion

yes bro, the moment the “for sale” rumour started kicking in, they zapped it. then Mario’s departure letter. Then the quarterly payments.
I just did not expect VIP group to wither away like that.
I thought when Alistair got his sites back from LNG that he will fight for them to the end.
But I guess, what’s left of the biz will still command a fair exit price from the big dog. so there.
good luck to all.
