Deal gives VC gamblers another funding option
September 5, 2008 (InfoPowa News) — The Victor Chandler online gambling group out of Gibraltar has taken on the Ukash electronic cash voucher option in a deal signed this week. Ukash provides pre-paid online vouchers for customers who do not have or want to pay by credit or debit card.Ukash CEO Mark Chirnside said: “There will always be a very substantial group of people who don’t have or won’t use their cards online, so it’s important for companies like Victor Chandler to give the cash customer a payment option. This is a perfect example of how Ukash benefits the online merchant and the cash customer.”
Following the agreement, Victor Chandler customers across the British Isles will be able to make cash deposits via Ukash’s extensive electronic cash voucher system, using the resultant vouchers as funding for online gambing. The company’s widening range of betting platforms that accept Ukash include casino, sportsbetting and poker sites.
The Ukash payment facility has been launched in the UK, Europe, and South Africa, targeting players who either do not have a bank account or a credit card (and in the UK this customer segment comprises 2.8 million adults) or fear they might become victims of credit card fraud or identity theft.
Ukash makes online payments possible without having to submit private bank details, and customers can use Ukash cash vouchers to make a wide range of purchases. The process implies exchanging cash for a Ukash voucher, which is then presented online at participating merchants displaying the Ukash payment brand. Every Ukash electronic voucher contains a unique 19 digit code.
Victor Chandler has nearly a million customers in over 160 countries.
