Victor Chandler Poker Relaunched and Repackaged
Victor Chandler today announced the relaunch of its online poker service at http://www.vcpoker.com, which hopes to attract a new breed of gamer. The new site has a bright, breezy presentation, is easy to use and adopts a highly branded, mass market approach in an attempt to broaden its appeal. VCP feel that most sites simply pander to the seasoned gamer so they have deliberately focused on accommodating players of all levels of experience, beginners included. They provide a ‘poker school’ offering tips and advice, a reorganised support section, a community section that nurtures the ‘important community aspect’ of online poker and a wealth of marketing information.
Gill Leivesley, managing director, Victor Chandler Games Division said the new site “demonstrates how Victor Chandler are leading the field in terms of innovation in brand development within the online poker market.” Leivesley goes on to add that “Consumers have already demonstrated the mass market appeal of poker through the success of televised poker and the growth of online poker, and we feel that its crucial for the game that online operators provide the tools, information and brand environment in which to nurture this appetite for the game.”
The launch of the new site is accompanied by a far-reaching communications campaign that includes extensive online advertising, CRM activities and a specially produced viral for distribution to existing seed lists.
