    Hi

How safe is it to use uncertified affiliate programs from well known software providers like for example the new playtech casinos hardrockcasino.com or xxlclubcasino.com. It can offers a great alternative to players and attract new signup but what are the risks? I can think that say might never pay or go bankrupt before ever sending some $$

Your comments are greatly appreciated and please comment if you already had experience with those 2 new casinos.

    Thanks
    Mike

I see the largest problem with uncertified and new programs is you are risking your reputation. If you promote a program to a player, and they rip them off you have lost your creditability.

Of course the other problem is you don’t know if they will pay you, and you lose the power we have here as a united front to presure them to do the right thing. The programs that are certified are making a statement that they are here to stay and will work with us to solve problems.

(however I do promote some non-certified programs)

I understand your point, also there is no real point to promote those new casinos as the revenue sharing model is not higher than for certified programs.

What about the conversion rate and signup rate? This might be higher than for online casino that have been around for a long time, or do I miss something?

    Thanks
    Mike

I don’t know why they would convert any better unless they came up with some brilliant promotions or give away too much in bonus money which in itself is a bad sign. If they are legit they will probably get certified before long.

I would say why bother? Especially with a Playtech or RTG where the software company doesn’t police the casinos as well as Microgaming.

I mean it should be easier to signup new players to new casinos, or not. The reflection being that almost all players already have accounts with the older online casinos making it more difficult to find new players for them!?

Do you mean playtech & RTG casinos are not trustfull?

    Thx, Mike

I dont think he meant that casinos with this software are not trustworthy in general. Some most certainly have earned their trust. He is just saying the sofware provider doesnt police the individual casino’s as well. Theirfor leaving open the possability of them being un trustworthy.

Certification is a bit of a moot point as each certifying site has their own criteria and entry costs. There are plenty of other sites that give approvals too (Ecogra, Casinomeister – even GoonersGuide)

However, CAP certification tells you that are active participants in this forum and have been considered good for affiliates and players.

If you are a newbie – and are using CAP as your prime source of information then then you are best to stick to the programs listed and certified here – as you will get good communication and support.

As you gain experience – then you can fly further from the CAP nest and set up your own deals – but right now I would recommend benefiting from CAPs experience and sticking to the programs that are listed here.

That way you will not start out on the wrong path.

That was at their request and something I hope they correct in the near future when they add more staff. Partnerships are highly dependant on communication, without it people tend to drift apart…
