I’m curious as to what others have to say about using freerolls to both attract traffic and gaining signups. Back when the merge network was in it’s infancy I used that strategy with great success. At the time I was fairly new to affiliate marketing overall and within months I had myself earning a decent income from it. Over the past few years however promoting the freerolls from a number of sites did not translate into much. I think part of the problem has been with some of them even if players win unless they make a deposit those winnings used for real play didn’t generate any rake where as merge did. Also some have so many players it’s tough for them to reach a decent payout for them to be able to play with.
I just found another new site that will be a stand alone room like merge was in the beginning. All they offer at this point is freerolls (96 a day) whose winnings will be convertible to real money on launch and generate commissionable rake. I’m thinking of putting the same effort into it I did back with merge when it was new. It was really profitable but that was then and this is now. Am I making a mistake? Is the shine off freerolls or I wasn’t promoting the right ones? Or do you just enjoy a much higher success ratio when the site is brand new? I can think of a lot of reasons why a new site would make freerollers much more profitable to me but wondering if I’m coming up with them just for a reason to go gung ho with this. Opinions?????
