Instead of driving online gambling out of the U.S. with the UIGEA, the law instead has just made iGaming payment processing much more expensive, and riskier as well. And that’s not good for affiliates, players, or the country in general. Read more here.
Well, yes, I think this was part of the intent of the US implementors of UIGEA – stamp out the money flow. I would think that they are probably happy to see that processing fees have increased to a large extent, as that will help dry up business. So, the idiots can probably say that their mission was accomplished to a very large extent.
