This is great news. Although I doubt the DOJ and the US will take much notice.

Full InfoPowa Report on this is now up on BetSage:

Very good news! The question is will the US actually care about it?

I doubt they will. After all if they can ignore the UN over Iraq and pull out of the KYOTO Treaty, then why should the US be bothered what the WTO says. :(

They should care if Antigua starts flogging Microsoft knockoffs for a dollar etc.

i think antigua should actually do that! and then the us govt will be pressured by Microsoft to do something about it. Although i’m sure Microsoft earnings are not that substantial in Antigua…but then again, they could also produce Nike, Tommy hilfiger clothes, and other american brands…gosh, they could even copy McDick’s :dafingers

Antiqua dont have to do it; China,India,Malasia are the biggest exporters of pirated software. Remember, US won a WTO Ruling against the afforementioned Nations reguarding Copyright infridgements. If we expect them to obide by the Copyright ruling, we should obide by this ruling. Microsoft loses more $$ in the way of illegal pirated software then US sends to offshore betting. This ruling maybe a scapegoat for Barney to get his legislation passed. Sort of like, we didnt want to repeal the Anti-Gambling bill but had no choice.

I’m glad somebody is trying to fight the US on this. Hopefully we will start to see some changes soon.

The great thing about this is that even though Antigua does not have the power to do something about it, it sets a precedent and other countries can start lodging their complaints.

But then again, when is the last time the US actually cared about what other nations thought?
