But, Vegas does not use an Affiliate System. This is one area where land based and online casino marketing greatly differ, in my opinion.
Hey Smart Guy … ever heard of a Casino Host?
April 27, 2006 at 11:16 pm #690266AnonymousInactiveTo clarify:
Casino hosts try to get players to play at the casino and get paid based on the wagering/turnover/theoretical/income of those players.
hmmm …
April 28, 2006 at 12:02 am #690273AnonymousInactiveThank you for recognizing my intelligence. :bullshit:
The casino hosts I know about are not like an online affiliate, they are more like a comp to the whales, but I do not keep real close tabs on this area, so I may be out of date.
Ryan, you keep talking about me making money, this was/is not about money, it is about the principal of the thing. But I guess if I have to explain it, its one of those things you just won’t understand.
If I was worried about making money I would have kept my account open and my mount shut.
…and is it just me or does it seem like you are attacking me personally?
Conversation over, cuz real soon I am gonna feel like hitting back and then it will get ugly.
April 28, 2006 at 12:22 am #690280AnonymousInactiveObviously I’m not trying to start $h17 with you, but you come out all ‘hate and knives’ towards me when I’m totally swamped with the merger … then I check the forums and see all this madness … so what do you expect? Obviously I’m going to counter.
I’ll put my hand up and say I should have communicated to you that you can expect your payment at the end of the month…
Unfortunately – not that you care – we are working around the clock to integrate 3 affiliate programs together (adriches, and parts of CPS into RewardsAffiliates) … on the outside you guys might think we just get the data, kick it to IT and hope for the best … but the reality is that we are doing 2-3 times our already significant workload so that this transition goes smooth for everybody involved.
Unfortunately during this time, the effort might not be visible on the outside … we help 100’s of affiliates a day and unfortunately from time to time we get overloaded and support gets slowed or suffers …
Breakout the violin for me and my thankless job
You guys all know 1000’s upon 1000’s of positive events never make it to the forums, but every negative one does … that’s life, we roll with it … but don’t be surprised by a bit of push back.
April 28, 2006 at 12:23 am #690281AnonymousInactiveOk , time to pull the plug here.
Lotso, please don’t post in this thread anymore.
You can post anyplace else you like, no problem at all.
We do not allow hostility here and this thread is deteriorating.

LOL! For some reason, that made me laugh out loud (thus, the “LOL!”). Must’ve been the image of the violin being played… :hehe:
I, for one, really do appreciate your hard work (Renee’s too). Sometimes I am guilty of not posting enough “positive” things here. I hope you realize that for each negative-ish thing I say, there are at least 5 other things that please me, that I just don’t bother to write about. Like you said, positive events just don’t make it to the forums, usually.
Rewards Affiliates has a generous commission structure, they communicate often, and they always pay their affiliates on time, every time. More programs should try to emulate Rewards Affiliates.
Every affiliate program has room for improvement, but Rewards Affiliates has much less room for improvement compared to most other programs.
My 2 cents.

But I think that it is also my right to point out that I disagre with him/her and that I at the very least have as much or more experience with CR as Daera.
Being a casino affiliate is a tough business, it has made me a person that questions everything and everyone online, especially peoples motives.
My motive for posting what I have about Casino Rewards is to vent and warn other affiliates about what I consider a shady pratice that will cost them money, like it did me (If we don’t look out for each other, who will…. the casinos… HA!) I do wonder about the motives of some in this thread though…

Oh Ya, Ryan at CR did finally close my account, but he forgot to send me my money… Can I say that not getting my money from Casino Rewards was expected?
If they short me, they will short you.
I hope that comment about other people’s motives wasn’t directed at me. I have the utmost respect for Ryan and Renee. I feel like I’m dealing with used car salesmen from a lot of places, not always the brightest either. But Ryan and Renee are 1st class if you ask me. And Ryan seems way above his class, very intelligent.
Rewards is one of my two best affiliates. The other is Referspot.
I completely support myself, make my living from online affiliate earnings so I take this all very seriously. This is not a hobby or a game anymore. And Rewards and Referspot are my biggest earners. Rewards is doing very well this month, and is RIGHT IN the same range as it normally is every month.
I just hope you don’t doubt that my comments and compliments to Ryan and Renee and the Rewards program in general, as far as my account goes, is truthfully exactly how I feel.
I sure would hate for anyone to think I had other motives other than being very happy working with them.
Oh yeah… Daera is a “she”.
April 28, 2006 at 6:36 am #690333AnonymousInactiveEven though I don’t push them real hard because I have some reservations with the new commission structure, I must say that Ryan & Renee are in a class of their own when it comes to support. However, I hope Ryan understands that he is not the only one that puts forth a great effort. I work in front of this stupid computer screen 16 hours a day in hopes that I can get my business on auto pilot in a couple of years. We all take a lot of pride in what we do and anyway you cut it, we all do it to make money. I am sure Ryan is paid for his efforts just as others are paid for theirs. That is why affiliates tend to get short and testy when situations arise because it directly affects their livelyhood. Although some of the people bitching need a lesson or two in business etiquette from time to time not excluding me, the foundation of that haste comes from wanting to suceed and make good business decisions which is a good thing. We all work pretty damn hard at this business no matter what end of it your on and we could all use a little more in the way of thank you’s and positives. But in the same breath this forum wouldn’t survive if it was not a platform to resolve the negative issues so naturally many of the comments that are posted are negative, that is just the nature of the beast. Ryan is certainly entitle to speak his peace just as we are. It has to be a tough job that Ryan & Renee have in trying to please everyone, yet watching your tongue so you don’t piss off the whole community. IMO communication is huge in this biz and like engineer said I wish other programs would take a page out of CR book in regards to support.
April 28, 2006 at 6:41 am #690334AnonymousInactivebonusgeek … well said, agreed.
April 28, 2006 at 7:57 am #690336AnonymousInactiveI love this, I am the one being banged on and I get told to shut up… very cool.
To all you folks that have had great experiences with CR, good for you, I am really happy things worked out so good for you all, I hope you all make bundles of money with CR and this new program of theirs.
But I think you totally missed my point. Oh well…
