I enjoy watching a major government getting it right.

“Under UK government plans, the Gambling Commission is to vet sites, giving official approval to those with the best working practices.

Operators will not be allowed to target children and must keep customers informed about how much money they have spent.

Key staff, such as managing directors and finance managers, will also be checked for links to organised crime. “

Well, Alderney and the Isle of Man have been giving out licenses for a while now. Don´t forget Gibraltar, that´s British as well so they must have amended the rules slightly but that´s about it.

I am much more intruiged by their argument against what UK officials call “prohibition” and for regulation.

“Separate moves are also underway to secure an international agreement that would protect gamblers using sites registered in countries other than the UK. “
