UK punter’s £600,000 winning streak
A UK online casino punter has won a record £600,000 ($1,032,496) in just two weeks playing at Ladbrokescasino.com. And the lucky punter thinks it’s all down to a random act of kindness, when he gave £1 ($1.70) to a homeless beggar. Stephen Johnson, 40, won £120,000 ($206,464) playing at the online casino hours after giving the beggar £1, then went on a further winning streak playing blackjack and roulette, to the tune of £600,000.
After Johnson’s initial £120,000 win, he went on to win £35,000 ($60,215) the next day, and another £45,000 ($74,416) the day after. On his next visit he won £165,000 ($) and the run continued. Johnson admits he was playing for high stakes – he was playing Blackjack for £2000 ($3,400) per hand, and on roulette he would bet the high numbers. He plans to buy a house in Spain and a new sports car.
Keith Oliver, director of Ladbrokescasino.com said: “We’re absolutely delighted for Stephen”.
Of course, playing £2000 per hand can also lead to some pretty serious losses. But Ladbrokes doubtless would have been equally as happy with that!
