InactiveTwo questions for IGlobalMedia, about PartyPoker:
First, I’d love to see a bad-beat jackpot progressive ticker, or at least make the current value available via HTTP. I believe at the moment, the bad beat value is only visible inside the poker room.
Any plans to make this available on the web?Second, Do affiliates earn a commission on tournament play?
Thanks, -Ken-

InactiveI’d be interested in answers to both these questions also–especially the question regarding tournament play.

GuestI hope so. I’ve begun downgrading all my progressive advertising for Microgaming casinos because of recent discovery that we basically don’t make squat on the games.
frankly I’m still a little bit confused as to what the deal is there; but one thing I’ve learned is if it is confusing; then you’re probably getting the short end of things.
I’ve got pp on my pages featuring tourneys and would hate to take them off; but I would if I ain’t gettin’ my share of the action.

InactiveWOW – that would be news! I myself prefer tourneys and SnGs – and know numerous other players who dont play ring games.
Sure would suck to think that we are not getting any cut from players who only play tourneys.

InactiveI think most reasonable people would agree that the vig on the tournaments is considered part of the rake, but it would be good to receive confirmation of that.

Inactive:ohno: dunno how I missed on this one.
Currently we haven’t released a html feed for bad-beat jackpot progressive ticker. I will post it on this forum when we release one.
Yes, affiliates get the same % of tourney rake as of ring game rake. There is no rake for free rolls, but there is rake for ppm qualifiers.
Hope this clarifies!

InactiveThanks Satya. It’s nice to have that clarified. I’m sure you’ve put many affiliates at ease.
