All I wanted to do is help you out, so you dont get your hopes high.
You had your chance with $1200 – and you blew it – offer like that, for such a “quality” website like yours, comes once in a lifetime.
As far as the rest of your rant – well, I am not even gonna go there :nono:
March 6, 2007 at 4:52 am #729695biggygMemberFreydaddy , Stupid has been here almost three years and I am sure he has based his opinion not on what it would cost to hire somebody to build a website but on the MARKET RATE for a new website such as yours. In case you havent been here long , people look at the PR first then SERPS .I think $500 or less is a realistic price for your website given the enviorment right now.It is all about supply and demand and there are many sites being dumped on the market these days.
March 6, 2007 at 6:35 am #729707AnonymousInactivePersonally, I don’t know chit about chit when it comes to online marketing. I do however know alot about character, and hard work. Most CAP readers and members have legitimate concerns when it comes to this industry. For this post to be purposly misplaced on this forum, I feel is in bad character. You have opened the flood gates to a crapload of people who are very frustrated in this industry right now, and have been waiting a long time to get paid for what was really a labor of love. For you to come here and offer a site that is not a labor of love might be in bad taste, and BAD TIMING BRO!
On the other hand, I think the site “toxicpoker” looks nice and seems easy to navigate. But the questions raised by the the replies are legitimate. The comments are all true. In the current state of the industry, I would suggest that you translate your entire site into a more hospitable language and try to sell on non english message boards. You may have better luck. My .02cKurt
March 6, 2007 at 6:53 am #729708AnonymousInactiveI love the comment of how I don’t know anything about what someone’s work is worth or the value of a poker portal. Obviously the $1200 offer does not exist, if it did then the OP is nuts for not jumping on it. It’s obvious from his other posts it never existed.
No relevent backlinks, SERPS, page rank or traffic and you did not take $1200? :roflmao:
March 6, 2007 at 12:46 pm #729731vladcizsolMemberOk guys this is getting to be a Toxic Thread. I am archiving it since a duplicate post exists anyway.
A website is worth what a buyer is willing to pay for it. No more, no less. If you arent interested in purchasing a site thats fine, but its not necessary to badger the seller.
I see things at stores all the time that I personally think are overpriced, I shake my head and walk on I dont call over the manager and berate them. If a seller has something priced unrealistically the market responds by NOT purchasing the item. That’s punishment enough.
Frey I know you feel like your work was being slighted, but its not productive to make personal comments either.
These are frustrating times for us all, lets not be rude to each other because we are in less then optimal moods.
