Hey Everyone,
Most all know Wager Share has a script to block players from states that had anti online gambling laws in place. They accidently turn this on and blocked alot of players accounts. Your not going to like the conclusion I have come to over the weekend. I beleive we are going to see alot of online casinos pull out of the market this week. 888.com has already and others I gather are considering doing the same. If this be the case I wonder if we will be paid for September by the programs who’s casinos pull from the US market. I have a gut feeling that it maybe our last payment if we get that at all. Personally most of the players I have that are quality are US players. If I am right this put’s me out the business this month. Also I am not feeling that it is wise to keep my sites running after this bill is signed into law. Why risk going to jail when alot of the revenue is gone anyways. I some some of you are still trying to have a positive out look, but I don’t see anything positive going at this point. We will know this week how this is going to go down for us. If I am right and most of the online casinos pull from the US market it will effect all affiliates. As far as US affiliates I beleive when we do get legal advice from Larry Walters we will be advised to get out. This totally sucks, but I knew this day would come eventually.October 2, 2006 at 3:13 pm #708558AnonymousInactiveThere is a distinct possibility that all public companies and all Britsh ones will pull out.
I have not digested the situation fully yet and am in wait and see mode.
October 2, 2006 at 3:25 pm #708566vladcizsolMemberIt positively will happen. We have been trying to warn people about this for a LONG time but most people were in denial. Even now people are trying to avoid the truth, but its coming either way.
I predict once the President signs the bill we will see EVERY major program announce they are no longer accepting wagers from US players. When THAT happens our commissions will drop to nothing.
There basically will be no state of the business. There will be NO business.
