I thing gambling is gambling to some extent. People who bet or invest based on a system might be interested in both.
The most cynical investors and many non-investors see Investing as a casino without free drinks.

February 10, 2009 at 5:15 pm #794955AnonymousInactiveHi all,
I have done some considerable research on what works for a Forex affiliate and what does not. Here is basically my findings through looking at the stats of 5-6 different solid forex programs I am a member of.
1) The conversion from lead to depositor is about 1 in 9, so basically you need to see about 20 or more leads to see a couple of depositing leads. This ratio has been a good bench mark for me.
2) My site receives about 3,000+ hits a day and from that I send about 5 leads a day. You need to generate considerable traffic to make money.
3) The average deposit is $2,000 (this is the part I like as once you get those depositing signups onboard you are cash rich).The best converting forex affiliate programs that are also affiliate friendly;
partners.etoro.com, this is the program behind etoro and converts well
ReferForex.com, this is the program behind ForexWebTrader and Finexo. ForexWebTrader is the convertor
AffiliateYard.com, forget affiliate networks and promote ForexYard direct
Forex-Affiliate.com, a weak convertor but still worth joining as they are the program behind easy-forex.comworth also mentioning FX Cash where you can also promote etoro, along with , Best Brokers, CKfx.com, ClickForex.com, ForexYard. This is a good option if you do not wish to open soo many forex affiliate accounts and wish to centralize everything. This program is ran by ex casino affiliate managers who are well respected within the entire affiliate industry.
I have summarized my findings that can be viewed on http://www.forex-rates.biz/forex-affiliate-programs.htm
Good luck in this newish market,

February 10, 2009 at 7:01 pm #794968AnonymousInactiveI’ve been tempted to try forex promotion before. I really appreciate the quality advice.
I’ll definitely look you up again when I have a lot of time for a big new project.

You actually suggest that casino players would also become forex users? Does this really make sense? No offence, but I think although the look and feel may be familiar (according to you) it is a whole different type of business isn’t it…
Anyone who can comment on this (preferably based on experience)?
Furthermore, can anyone indicate how the net earnings for us as affiliates are when comparing forex affiliate sites with casino affiliate sites?
I tried both – ran eToro for a while and have to say it’s an excellent intuitive interface for a newbie like I was. I ran a few hundred, enjoyed it but it’s probably more suited to the type of casino player who plays BJ and strategy games than slots and VP players like me. The novelty wore off and I missed the anticipation of a big win.
I won an auction for a Forex site on Sedo for a few thousand to get started affiliating, then it turned out the seller didnt own the site after I sent the money to escrow, which p*ssed me right off. Third time out of five that’s happened to me on Sedo now. Haven’t gone back since but think its an interesting market and definately interested, but not without good strong traffic.
Finally I’d add, I don’t think you’d stand much of a chance making a lot of money from it without “playing” it yourself first. It’s essential in fact.
February 11, 2009 at 12:29 am #795006AnonymousInactiveTrying to get gamblers to become forex traders will be tough. Possibly some of the hardcore gamblers who have experience with spread betting will consider the forex. That is where the conversions end. However the forex is as profitable as the gambling sector but involves a lot of research before you go live as simple banner farm sites will not work.
May 8, 2009 at 8:19 am #799479Freerolls.bzMemberI have been promoting Forex Trading for quite a while now and on the info that SimonEaton has given us……………you will not go too far wrongMay 12, 2009 at 12:48 am #799616AnonymousInactiveThank you for your kind words;
I have created this knol about forex affiliate marketing

forex- affiliate – I am not sure about easy-forex. Their broker kind of has a bad reputation around the net.
etoro partners – nice revenue share every month, fast payments (via wire transfer or paypal), affiliate manager answers emails with almost no delay, love their affiliate site – great graphs and stats. You can see how many depositors and what exactly they have deposited per month. etoro broker offers a nice graphical platform, very easy to use. Attract traders who enjoy gaming along with trading!
affiliateyard – have both cpa and revenue options. Forexyard (the broker) has a new website now – much better then the previous one. Monthly payments in the beginning of each month. So far no complaints. Affiliate manager – very professional. The broker is currencluy offering 100% welcome bonus (which leads to good conversion ratio).

I’m looking at expanding my horizons to the Forex affiliate market…
My question is, is it worth it? Can anyone recommend any good resources to start learning about Forex so that I’d be able to write good content!! Which programs are working best for you and who is open to showing us their sites to see what they’ve put together?
Thanks in advance.
