This is getting pretty low. Intercasino/Interpoker will no longer give bonuses to American Players. Of course they will still take money from them. That makes no sense and the U.S. players will remember that when this all clears up.
Am I totally uninformed or is this just insanely jumping the gun?October 2, 2006 at 1:05 am #708366AnonymousInactivehdaddy wrote:This is getting pretty low. Am I totally uninformed or is this just insanely jumping the gun?Thats the strangest thing ive heard, they won’t give bonuses but will still accept US players.
October 2, 2006 at 1:05 am #708367AnonymousInactiveIm sure its a move to ensure they can still allow usa players – not sure of the logic behind it but someone has possibly found a way to ensure complience by stopping the bonus that still allows them to accept usa player – any thoughts on this? Lets see what their logic is first before we whip them! There will be a reason or maybe they are panicking – I guess the former ( they may be basing it on the uk governments advise to uk based gaming portals it looks familiar to me)
October 2, 2006 at 1:12 am #708369AnonymousInactiveHere we are this doesnt coming into effect for another year in the uk but this is their advise from next september ( uk governments advise)
18. The Government and Gambling Commission therefore maintain that the concept of “inviting” the public extends to any inducement or enticement or encouragement to act in a certain way. Therefore, in the Government and Commission’s view, to offer someone a bonus or benefit for taking part in gaming or submitting money for use in gaming is a form of invitation.
19. Below are some examples of advertisements (this is by no means an exhaustive list) that, in the view of the Government and the Gambling Commission, would fall foul of the prohibition on either inviting, inducing or encouraging a person to subscribe any money or money’s worth to be used in gaming, or applying for such information.
20. inviting the public to subscribe any money or money’s worth to be used in gaming:
“Play poker everyday”
“Play poker here”
“Try your luck in our casino”
“Test your nerve with poker”
“Step up and play our £100,000 thriller”
“Play on-line anytime”21. inducing/enticing/encouraging the public to subscribe any money or money’s worth to be used in gaming:
“We will match your first deposit”
“Join today and get a bonus”
“Referral bonus for every friend you introduce to the party”
“Bonus on every deposit”
“£150 free for all new players”
“Over £500 free in monthly promotions for every player”
“Win and double your money”
“Free entry”
“Guaranteed cash prizes everyday”
“Win big cash prizes”
“Win a trip for two to Las Vegas”** So it simply looks like they are complying with next years new laws( uk ones anyway)
October 2, 2006 at 1:38 am #708380AnonymousInactiveSeems to me that countries need to get together and set up some international gaming regulations/comission/consortium instead of all these jurisdictional laws. (IGC)
October 2, 2006 at 1:18 pm #708498AnonymousInactiveI can confirm to you all that CryptoLogic has made a press release stating that we will no longer be taking bets from US players from tomorrow onwards.
This is in light of the new bill expected to be signed tomorrow by the President.
Moves are being made today to ensure all US players are taken care of with regards to their balances and owed promotions. Further details will be available on this as I receive this.
Those affiliates in the US who bring in US traffic will be affected from this.
Those affiliates in the US who bring in worldwide traffic will continue to benefit from the non-US players they bring in.
From tomorrow, no affiliate will be able to wager on their account with their affiliate earnings. If this is found to be the case, the affiliate account will be suspended pending investigation.
Both Marc Waxman and I are available all week to discuss any questions you have, and also work on new strategies to target traffic from the rest of the world.
I will update you with any news as it becomes available.
Thanks
Claire
October 2, 2006 at 2:04 pm #708518AnonymousInactiveI’m curious as to why PartnerLogic would take action now, when the banks and credit card companies will have 270 days to figure out how to enforce the law. And that 270 days begins when the bill is signed by the president — he hasn’t even signed it yet!
NETeller has stated that they will continue with business as usual. This means nothing to you? Here you have a potential way to continue accepting deposits through a third party for another 270 days, AT LEAST, and instead you turn around and block everyone before the law is even official?
What a stupid move you’ve made, jumping the gun like this.

“Don’t click this button”
“There may or may not be gambing here, we can’t really say”
“There’s nothing to see here”
“This website has no purpose”That’s plain goofy.
As for no longer accepting US players, I wonder the same thing as Engineer. Why is there such a hurry?
October 2, 2006 at 3:41 pm #708569AnonymousInactiveIn common with 888 and Party Gaming we will stop taking wagers from US players immediately the legislation becomes law.
As soon as the bill is signed by the President it becomes unlawful for a business engaged in internet gambling to receive proceeds or monies connected with internet gaming.

oh, so I guess you are not going to take Australian wagers then?Isn’t this a U.S. law? Aren’t you NOT in the US? It is probably illegal to eat Cows in India… perhaps we should all stop now?
Edit: I know you don’t make the decisions, I am just venting on the subject.
October 2, 2006 at 5:32 pm #708613AnonymousInactiveshrubby, I understand your frustrations – we are all having the same thoughts.
You are right, we are not based out of the US, but should we continue to take bets from US players, we will then be in the same situation as betonsports were with the sportsbook issue.
October 2, 2006 at 8:14 pm #708697AnonymousInactiveWhy are you accepting wagers from Germany?
It´s been outright illegal accross the board and you even offer a German language site. You or any other Intercasino employee could get arrested on every trip to Europe if they put an arrest warrant out for you.
Hope the 4 million GBP jackpot doesn´t hit you now, that would be rather inconvenient cash flow wise :la-de-da:
October 3, 2006 at 11:51 pm #709293AnonymousInactiveWhy would you shoot yourselves in the foot like this? If your concern is that someone will get arrested if they travel to the United States, then don’t come! (as you sadly did not visit Las Vegas for the CAC). It seems like a very bad (and paranoid) business decision. Why pass on millions of dollars of revenue? I don’t know if you are publicly traded, but if I were an investor I would have the head of whoever made this decision. I hope you will take a deep breath and reconsider.
October 4, 2006 at 11:26 am #709475AnonymousInactiveInterCasino uses WagerLogic powered software which in turn is developed by CryptoLogic Inc. CryptoLogic is a publicly listed company on the Toronto, London and & NASDAQ stock exchanges. All our customers and indeed affiliate partners have benefited greatly from the probity, openness and trust factor that such a public company brings to its licensees. In fact this player trust and blue chip image is why InterCasino, InterPoker and VIP Casino have won the Top Online Casino for 5 years as voted for by Gambling Online Magazine and 2 years running in Casino Player.
Using software of a publicly listed company also means that we are simply not able to ignore nor would we want to ignore the Federal Unlawful Gambling Enforcement Act 2006, nor indeed would I have thought any of our partners want to ignore such an act. This Act makes it expressly illegal to knowingly pass funds from players in the United States or by implication be the facilitator (aiding & abetting) of such transactions.
InterCasino and the other brands that PartnerLogic represent have a very large international player base and reputation. In fact only 35% of our revenue came from the USA this year. PartnerLogic will also be representing Playboy Gaming when it launches in Quarter 1 next year.
I know that we will continue to be a major force in online gaming and a great revenue earner for all our affiliate partners.
