First of allthis message board is very helpful and tolerant of people like me who don’t know much and may ask stupid questions from time to time. Thanks everyone including the moderators,

I heard comments about buying targeted traffic. What is targeted and what is not targeted?

Where you can buy targeted traffic? Is it PPC traffic?

How one should buy targeted traffic? I mean based on keyword campaigns or …….?

    Thanks!

Targeted Traffic buying usually means a pay per click search engine.

The usual choice for casino promoters is Overture, although there are a few others out there worth trying that have low enough keyword prices.

Also, targeted traffic can be “bought” through the use of reliable email lists and/or newletters…

But remember, THIS IS A NUMBERS GAME.

    I’ll explain:

Case 1, Buy PPC Traffic from Overture…

To make a profit, your principle investment must be less than the total number of clicks times the value of the keyword.

This situation, particularly for Overture means that large amounts of Money are needed.

To elaborate on the numbers game aspect of this method of traffic consider the following equation:

Principle < (KeywordCost x Clicks) + Average Value of Casino player Suppose you invest $1000 at $10 per keyword. This is 100 clicks. You have to be sure that amongst those 100 clicks players will sign up and earn you sufficient commission so that you gross over $1000. Some say the average value of a casino player is $100. This means 10 players will be the break-even point for the above example. This break-even point assumes a conversion ratio of 1:10, or 10% of all clicks to your site results in an “average player” producing $100 of commission each. Conclusions: Small time casino promoters, myself included, can’t get into this market because I, for one, lack the Capital to risk buying top keywords…. As the prices of keywords increase, the amount of money put up front necessarily increases…plus you have to factor in a reasonable conversion ratio (meaning a player who clicks your link will play at a casino you promote on yoursite)
Case 2, Buy Email Lists or Newsletters….

This is again A NUMBERS GAME.

Its pretty much the same concept as PPC search engines, except you don’t have the keyword cost factor.

Instead, you simply put up enough capital to buy enough media (email, newsletters, pop-ups, whatever) to create profit based on a reasonable conversion ratio.

For example, an email list of 100,000 people may convert only 100 players….. 100 players times an average player value of $100 is $10,000. So, you’d best be purchasing that media or email list for $10,000 or less or else you’ll get stuck with a losing investment.

PS I would be willing to buy traffic with others as a mutual investment…..but I simply lack the funds at current time to go it alone by myself…….

    Hello bpmee,

That was very helpful explanation my friend.

Even though I don’t have a casino of my own yet, but I am working on becoming a “private label” casino owner in near future and your analysis gives good heads up to the potential marketing issues and expenses.

    Thanks again.

You can also buy targeted bulk traffic, popunder or popin.

Ask [email protected] about it. This is less expensive but also requires a lot more visitors to get converting ones.

You can target gambling and the country you want and sometimes other things.

    Dominique,

Have you purchased traffic from Gaminghits.com?

If so, what sort of conversion ratios can be expected. I’m seeing about 1.8% average for targeted PPC traffic including 2nd tier PPC’s.

At the prices Gaminghits.com is showing, even a 1/10% conversion would provide good ROI.

    Thanks,

That is about what I see, using special landing pages.

I see better than that with popins.

    Dominique,

Thanks for the reply. When you said

“That is about what I see, using special landing pages.

I see better than that with popins.”

Did you mean my stated 1.8% conversion ratio and where you refering to Gaminghits.com?

I’m still looking at buying some quantity so if you want to contact me via private message regarding Gaminghits.com maybe we could get other together and negotiate a bulk buy from this vendor.

Maybe next month Kevin, I have bought all of this traffic I want for this month.

I will also have an more precise evaluation of it! newwink.gif

Hi casinoweb, for most of your questions you should email [email protected]. You can tell him I sent ya!

The landing pages are whatever you want them to be – something just promoting one casino with a navigation to my sites has done well for me. They need to load quickly.

Popins are new and difficult to describe. Have Chad show you an example. :D

I know that at the beginning most affiliate do not have much money but I think that cpa buys are still anyone best bet. Why buy traffic and hope for a good conversion rate when you can just buy a good conversion rate. I buy 50 depositors at a time each depositor most deposit at least $50.00 to count and as most of you know most deposit at least $200.00. I break even + or – in the first month and make my money in the carry over. My average carry over so far is 20 to 25 depositor in the second month 15 to 10 in the third and around 5 depositor in mounth 4 to 5. This is all profit for 4 months or more with a cpa rate of $92.00 to 150.00. I have never had a traffic buy come close to that kind of performance, maybe you do? If so please let me know since traffic buys generally cost less out of pocket. I guess my real ? is every forum I go to talks about traffic buys and not cpa’s or roi buy and I am wondering why. I know as an affiliate that I don’t have the nerve to buy roi’s but why is it that when I ask about cpa’s knowone has anything to say?

Guys I posted a warning about “Targeted Traffic Programs” You may wish to refer to it before making any purchase decisions.

OBTW Chad at Gaming Hits recently offered a Kanoodle PPC deal where he promised targeted clicks that were to be filtered to remove non uniques, asian traffic and hotbar. Even though the listing was “Run of Site” the link clearly stated “Do You want to Gamble Online?”

They were also supposed to be limited to Kanoodloid placement at the bottom of pages and as such should have been a decent buy at 4-6 cents per click. Well, even though I knew Kanoodle had a very poor track record and was known for worthless cgi generated traffic I went for the deal and wasted $500.00. Out of 10,000 “hits” I netted no real players. The same thing happened to two other friends and one poor fellow from the UK lost $1000.

Lesson learned; Real traffic costs real money. No one is going to sell you real gambling traffic for pennies a hit. If there was ANY value whatsover to these hits you can be sure the casinos would buy them all day long at Dollars per click not pennies.

Chad’s position on all this varied from “Its cheap Traffic, you cant expect much” to “Oh well, you didnt set up a proper landing page’ or in the case of my friend he insinuated the site was poorly designed!!! Despite numerous emails, PM and phone messages on his answering machine he refuses to call me back. I guess that I should have followed my instincts but I trusted him because we are both members of a webmaster organization. What a shame….

    Live and Learn.
