Hi,

I’m currently developing an online casino portal. I was wondering if you recommend to have all external links to online casinos with my affiliate id open in a new window or should I just use the same window, even though the user leaves my site?

Thats a good question. Keep all your internal links to open in the same window target=self and all external links to open in a different window target=blank. It took me quite a while to realize how important it was to have external links open in a different window. Otherwise they will not hit the back button 1-10 times to find your site again and consequently you lose them from navigating any further on your site. I have so many external links on my page, I just used the following code at the top of my page (base target=”_blank”) use the opening and closing tags which sets all links to open in a different window, then I set each internal link to target=self. Alternatively, some sites just use the base target=”_blank” code for all their links to open in a new window. Thats the easy route and guarantees that the visitor will still have one of your pages open. Hope this helps.
