Hello all. I have had my site up for about three weeks and have generated the following statistics from my poker rooms. I am concerned about the lack of real money players. Is this typical or cause for concern.
Gaming Club: 64 clickthrus 9 downloads 0 RMP
Ultimatebet: 63 clickthrus 4 registrations ? downloads 1 RMP
Paradise: ? clickthrus 7 downloads 0 RMPIs 1 RMP per 20 downloads good, bad or fairly normal? Do I just need to be more patient? (OK, dumb question, I know I need more patience.)
I realize that some players will download and play for free and then convert. I download, play for free about ten minutes and then deposit if I plan to play at all, I just don’t know what real people do.
Thanks in advance for any help.April 19, 2005 at 4:45 pm #664379AnonymousInactiveI’m still relatively new at this as well, but am seeing similar numbers — based on a small sample size — that you are.

There is a thread on the general discussion in which webber286 said:
our download issue could be a couple of things. First, when you click on the download link, the software automatically starts downloading, which might not be what the user intended by going there. Second, the file that downloads is a pre-downloader that requires the user to run it to download the actual software. Given this extra step, you might be experiencing some less adept users not sure what to do.
If you promote poker rooms where the download starts without the user noticing it, your ratio may be much worse since the download count is not real.

Aha! I knew there were people online that weren’t real! Validation at last! and they all laughed at me. ….
well those of us few who are still real, are seeing similar results as you virtual folks as well.

April 25, 2005 at 5:28 am #664675AnonymousInactiveI think I’m seeing closer to 1 in 10 on my main poker room and 0 of a whole bunch historically on the general casinos I need to pull from my sites…
