I wanted to know what the year looked like in different sports. Is the summer typically slower? I bet football causes a big rise, both the American kind and the real kind. I would be interested to hear more.

Things like NBA, NHL ,and MLB are Ok once they reach the playoffs.
Big horse races that attract mainstrewam reporting are also good one day boosts.
We are currently also covering Wimbledon tennis – but it’s slow going. But as you’ve suggested football is the lifeblood of our sports turnover.

One part of this good summer is that more and more bookmakers are showing more and more sports in online streams, so somebody from Germany can see scandinavian football. This was just a dream one or two years ago

July 4, 2009 at 4:22 am #801633WineGuyMemberSimon is right,
This time of year ( June July ) is frustratingly slow. ( I would even say it’s also slow for online casinos, because the weather is so nice so people spend less time inside on their computer. And lotsa people are on vacation )
I just try and work on my site so it’s good and ready for the start of NFL season. And premier league begins mid Aug I believe.July 7, 2009 at 1:00 pm #801721gwoodMemberAgree with everyone here, June/July is pretty quiet but things will pick back up in august once he footy is back. Football is one of best sports for acqusisition. Great for attracting new customers
July 7, 2009 at 1:22 pm #801722meemeeMemberThe general consensus from the above posters is spot on, although we’re hitting a busy period over the next fortnight. The ashes cricket starts tomorrow and we have the open championship golf next weekend.
Sandwich in some top quality horse racing with the July meeting starting tomorrow and it’s a busy time at totesport.
