This is my first time offering a service like this but I find myself without a site and way too much time on my hands. I am not a professional writer but I am a very experienced sports bettor. I’ve bet sports for 15+ years and it’s what I do best. I make picks in NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, PGA, and Nascar. Over the years I’ve hit over 60% at least once in every sport apart from baseball but in baseball I bet a lot of underdogs so obviously my winning % will be lower.
About my picks. Write ups will be between 400-500 words and will cost $20 each which comes to a little under 5 cents per word. The picks I write are picks I bet myself although if someone wanted a pick for a specific game I guess I can handicap the game and do a write up but win % may be a lit lower. I’m also only doing a few picks per day at most and if I do a game for one person I won’t rewrite it for someone else. Not only is the content unique but the pick is also unique to one person. So for golf and nascar just one person a week would get those.
I’ll post a few examples in this thread. (all writes up were done before the games)
NFL, NBA and NHL will be the same as the hockey example below.
MLB will obviously be the same as the baseball example below.
Nascar and Golf will be the same as the Nascar example below except golf will have 5 picks and Nascar 3 picks.
Philadelphia Flyers at Boston BruinsHead to Head
The Philadelphia Flyers visit the TD Banknorth Garden to take on the 1st place Boston Bruins. The Bruins have won both match-ups this season. In the first game Boston won handily downing the Flyers 6-1 with two goal performances by Jarome Iginla and Zdeno Chara. The second game was much closer with the Bruins winning in a shoot out even though the Flyers out-shot the Bruins 52-30.

Just a couple weeks ago the Flyers were one of the hottest teams in the NHL winning 12 of 15 games but have since cooled off with just 1 win in their last 6 games.

The Boston Bruins are 1st in the Atlantic division with 111 points. That also puts them 1st place in the Eastern conference eight points up on the second place Pittsburgh Penguins. The Bruins are 29-7-3 at home this season where they average over 3 goals per game on offense and allow just 1.67 goals per game on defense. To show just how strong the Bruins have been this year. They rank 3rd in the league for goals scored and 2nd in the league for goals against so that’s a very hard combination to beat. After winning 15 of their last 16 games the Bruins have lost back to back games and are in danger of losing 3 in a row for the first time all season.

The Boston Bruins are arguably the best team in the NHL and have owned Philly of late winning 12 of the last 15 meetings. The Philadelphia Flyers although red hot a couple weeks ago have cooled off losing 5 of their last 6 games. I think the Bruins avoid their first 3 game losing streak of the season and pick up the win today versus the Flyers.

This is the second game of a three game series between the San Diego Padres and Miami Marlins. In the first game Miami spanked the Padres 8-2. The Marlins have won the last 4 games versus the Padres outscoring them 25-5 in those 4 games.

The pitching match-up in this one features Andrew Cashner for the Padres and Jose Fernandez for the Marlins. This is Cashner’s 5th season in the majors and 2nd as a full time starter. Last season he went 10-9 with a 3.09 era. In Cashner’s first start this season he pitched 6 solid innings giving up 4 hits and 1 earned run. This is Fernandez’s 2nd season in the majors. Last season he went 12-6 with a 2.19 era and piled up 187 strikeouts in just 172 innings. Fernandez also has just one start so far this season. In that one he went 6 innings allowing 1 earned run and struck out 9.

I know it’s early in the season but it looks like the same old Padres. They are 1-4 on the season and have been out scored 17-8. The Padres problem over the last few years has been scoring runs and so far this season has been no different. They have averaged just two runs per game and are batting under .200. The Padres are also a much better home team than road team. Over the past two seasons they were 87-75 at home but just 65-97 on the road.

The Miami Marlins are looking to put last seasons last place finish behind them. They stunk it up pretty bad last season winning just 62 games and finished a whopping 34 games back of the Atlanta Braves. So far this the Marlins are actually looking good winning 4 of their first 5 games. They are really hitting the ball well averaging 7 runs per game and have a batting average of .305.

I really like the Marlins in this one. Their bats are on fire and Fernandez is a beast. We also have a Padres team that are off to a cold start and don’t play well on the road in general.
Duck Commander 500Track
This week the NASCAR Sprint cup series heads to the 1.5 mile Texas Motor Speedway for the Duck Commander 500. Last season Kyle Busch won the spring race while Jimmie Johnson won the fall race here. The eventual race winner has started no worse then 5th position in the last six Texas races.

Matt Kenseth is second in the points standings 9 points back of leader Dale Earnhardt Jr. In 23 races at the Texas Motor Speedway Kenseth has an average finishing position of 8.3 which leads all active drivers. Kenseth also has 2 wins and 13 top 5’s at Texas plus he is the current laps led leader with 775. Kenseth hasn’t had the best car so far this week. He was just 29th fastest in the first practice but bounced back a bit for 11th fastest in the final practice. Kenseth will be starting pretty far back in 26th position but if anyone can work their way up to the front I think Matt can.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. has had an incredible start to the 2014 season winning the Daytona 500 and is actually leading the points standings 7 races into the season. That win wasn’t a fluke either. In 7 starts this season Dale Jr. has finished in the top 5 four times. In 23 starts at the Texas Motor Speedway Earnhardt has 13 top 10 finishes and has led 448 laps. Earnhardt had the 4th fastest car in the 1st practice but just the 26th fastest in the final practice. He will be starting in the 19th position.

Joey had the 17th fastest speed in the final practice and will be starting the race in 10th position.
