Intertops.com announce a big winner on Marlins

Internet bookmaker Intertops.com has announced the big winner on the Florida Marlins to win the World Series, though the Marlins were not the popular choice for the World Series title at the start of the season.
The St. John’s, incorporated and licensed sports betting website currently offers more than 200 betting options daily with online casino games.
The Florida Marlins were the underdogs at the start of the season at 125/1. They made it to the World Series and surprised everyone when they won game six on Saturday in New York 2-0, taking the Series at 4-2. According to Intertops.com, the winner was already celebrating with his friends and said he was never in doubt about Marlins winning.
‘It was a great end to the World Series and it’s a great boost to our customers when we can announce a big winner,’ said Intertops.com’s Chief Bet Manager Michael Maerz.

Basically, I wanted to know what is uncle Sam’s cut on this ?
Does uncle Sam get more than the ” winner ” ?

Declare tax on your winnings when you are not meant to be betting, interesting scenrio.
Best solution is for the guy to place it in an offshore bank and pay for items such as dinner out, tv’s etc… using a creditcard and then Uncle Sam will never pick up on this.
