Hi,
After some time I have decided to move back into the industry – this time I am running solo
Anyway – I started out with buying some sites – one a sports wagering forum. Then I found out that I know nothing about sports betting – lol.
Anyway – it is a sports betting forum with focus on NBA, Football, Hoops, MLB, NHL and other sports. I don’t know anyting about sports, and therefore I consider selling it.
It is not as active as it once was (my plan was to use the existing clientbase to build it up again), it has a lot of posts and a lot of e-mail adresses is included.More than 23.000 threads, 135.000 posts and 6.600 members. I think I have like 11.000 e-mail adresses as well.
I don’t want to poste the URL here, since I don’t want the members to find it on Google.
PM me if you are interested – thanks!

March 15, 2008 at 8:39 pm #763347AnonymousInactivebin 4K – want to sell fast since I have other projects to worry about.
March 15, 2008 at 9:14 pm #763348AnonymousInactiveHe bought this website for 2k less than a month ago.

Don’t get screwed.
Edit: Making profit is fine and you can sell at whatever price you like, but I don’t think it’s fair misleading CAP people into thinking they’re getting a huge deal because you want to sell fast, when in fact you’re flipping 100% profit on their back in 2 weeks.
March 16, 2008 at 8:37 am #763353AnonymousInactiveJackTen I did buy the site for 2K on sitepoint – yes. That is no secret, and anybody who gets the url will find out by doing a search on Google. I closed the auction with “buy-it-now”, since the price set on the site was way below the value.
The value of the site has nothing to do with what I paid for the site! Anyone with knowledge of sportsbetting who know how to run a forum will be able to make loads of $ with this site. If nobody here wants to buy it, I am putting it on sitepoint again – and this time I will be paid more than 2K. To sell fast I have listed the site here and on PAP, and I think it’s a great chance for anyone who wants to get into sports betting.
Now, back to your accusations:
“don’t get screwed”
“misleading”
???Would you please try to control your language? I am NOT some kind of 3-contry scam artist, and have done business with people on this board before. Whatever I want to sell my site for is my problem – nothing is hidden!!!
The reason why I want to sell the site is simple. I am from Europe, and sportsbetting is a lot different from US sports betting. Even the odds are presented differently. I have plenty of work as a SEO consultant, and don’t have the time to learn about sports betting.
Therefore the only logical thing is either to turn the forum into a poker forum or sell it. I have purchased a lot of other different sites during the last few months, so I have decided to sell it if possible – the reason I want to sell it fast, is that people on the forum expect something to happen soon, and I basically don’t have the time for the next few months due to a major project.I will be off for vacation for the next week, so won’t reply much.
